MODULAR HEATED FOOD-SERVICE DISPLAY
A modular heated display system with at least one heated display unit and at least one frame extension. The heated display unit will typically include a heating element supported by a frame. When the heated display unit is set upon a supporting surface, the heating element is raised some distance above the supporting surface by the frame. One or more frame extensions may be removably coupled to the frame opposite the heating element. Any coupled frame extension serves to elevate the heating element to a different height above the supporting surface. In some implementations, the heated display unit will include a light source within the frame, generally position underneath the heating element. Control electronics may be provided to cause the light source to project light downward, onto the supporting surface below the frame when the heating element is active or at an elevated temperature.
Fiber optic shelving system
A fiber optic shelving system includes a shelf including a plurality of holes, a plurality of fiber optic filaments, each of the plurality of fiber optic filaments having a first end and a second end, and the first end being coupled to one of the plurality of holes, a first camera configured to capture an image of the terminal surfaces of the plurality of fiber optic filaments, and a second camera configured to capture an image of a side of one or more products on the shelf. The fiber optic shelving system identifies, among the plurality of holes, a set of holes that are blocked from light based on the captured image of terminal surfaces of the second ends of the plurality of fiber optic filaments, and determines a number of products on the shelf based on the identified set of holes blocked from light and the captured image of the side of one or more products on the shelf.

SECURITY GATE
A security gate for a retail store shelf having one or more products includes a header and at least one hinge arranged in a horizontal alignment with the header. A rigid frame is connected to the header with the at least one hinge and a guard is positioned across the rigid frame, the guard preventing a user from removing the products. A latching mechanism connects the rigid frame to the header and urges a customer to use two hands to open the security gate.
STORAGE CONTAINER WITH INVENTORY CONTROL
Systems and methods of the invention relate to managing an inventory of items within a storage container. A storage container can house one or more items for distribution among one or more users such as, for instance, employees. The storage container discussed herein provides authentication of a user, tracking of the inventory each user removes or returns, video/image capture of user during access of the storage container, multi-factor tracking of items housed within the storage container, machine vision identification of items, among others.
