WELD FORCED CRACK AND BRAZE REPAIR FOR SUPERALLOYS
A method of repairing an oxidized defect in a superalloy article includes removing substantially all of the oxidized defect to form a cleaned out portion of the superalloy article; filling a portion of the cleaned out portion with a weld by fusion welding; cracking the weld; and filling the cracked weld and a remaining portion of the cleaned out portion with a braze material.
STRUCTURE OF ASSEMBLY GRASP FOR PALLADIUM-ALLOY TUBES AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A structure of assembly grasp for palladium-alloy tubes and the manufacturing method thereof are described. The structure of assembly grasp for palladium-alloy tubes includes a grasp with a plurality of holes, a plurality of palladium-alloy tubes inserted into the plurality of holes, and an intermetallic compound layer between the palladium-alloy tubes and the inner sidewalls of the plurality of holes.
3D DIFFRACTION COATING PROCESS
The present invention discloses a 3D diffraction coating process, the operation is simple, due to the principle of newton's rings of single light sources, superimposition of optical wave-wavlet vibration during wave transmission of light and diffraction, refraction, reflection, transmission, transmission increase and reflection increase of the light, slit diffraction generated by a round hole, a rectangular hole and a line in a pattern internally coated in the product is conducted to an outer glass layer to form a diffraction layer, and finally, a muitilayered 3D visual effect is generated, and the manufactured finished product has a good 3D effect, and is very exquisite and high-class.
Method and system for additive manufacturing using high energy source and hot-wire
A method and system to manufacture workpieces employing a high intensity energy source to create a puddle and at least one resistively heated wire which is heated to at or near its melting temperature and deposited into the puddle as droplets.
Process for laser-assisted tool build and repair
A tool for forming a shaped product has a support body that is fabricated from a first material, such as for instance cast iron. The first material defines a first portion of a forming surface of the tool and has a feature supported thereon. The feature has a layer of a second material that is supported on the first material of the support body, a layer of a third material that is supported on the layer of the second material and a layer of a fourth material that is supported on the layer of the third material. The layer of the fourth material, such as for instance a tool steel alloy, defines a second portion of the forming surface of the tool. During use the first portion of the forming surface and the second portion of the forming surface cooperate to form a desired shape of the shaped product.
COMPONENT HAVING WEAR-PROTECTED OPENINGS AND RECESSES AND PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF
The present invention relates to a method for producing and/or repairing wear-stressed recesses or openings on components (22) of a turbomachine, especially of elements of a flow passage boundary, and also to corresponding components, wherein the method comprises:
producing an at least two-layer molded repair part (15), one layer (2) of which is formed by an Ni-solder and a further layer (3) of which is formed from a mixture of an Ni-solder (4) and hard material particles (5) of hard alloys on a base of cobalt or nickel and which at least partially has an outer shape which is complementary to the inner shape of the recess (20) or opening which is to be repaired,
inserting the molded repair part (15) into the recess (20) or opening and
at least partially heat-treating the component (22) for soldering the molded repair part (15) onto the component.
Method and system to start and use combination filler wire feed and high intensity energy source for root pass welding of the inner diameter of clad pipe
A welding system includes at least one high intensity energy source to create a weld puddle during a root pass on a narrow joint of a workpiece with a clad layer. The system also includes a controller to control a weld ramp out process such that, as the molten puddle advances to a start of an existing root pass weld, the controller at least one of decreases an energy output of the at least one high intensity energy source and reduces an interaction time between the at least one high intensity energy source and the weld puddle. After completion of the root pass, a thickness of a root pass weld in a region that is at or near the start point of the existing root pass weld is in a range of 100 percent to 130 percent of a nominal root pass thickness of a remainder of the root pass weld.
Ultrasonic weld coaxial connector
A coaxial connector for interconnection with a coaxial cable with a solid outer conductor by ultrasonic welding is provided with a monolithic connector body with a bore. An annular flare seat is angled radially outward from the bore toward a connector end of the connector; the annular flare seat open to the connector end of the connector. The flare seat may be provided with an annular flare seat corrugation.
Machining device and machining method
Provided are a machining device and a machining method in which machining of higher precision can be performed with a simple configuration. The machining device has an irradiation head (16) and a controller; and the irradiation head (16) can be divided into a collimate optical system, a laser revolving unit (35), and a light collection optical system (37). The laser revolving unit (35) has a first prism (51), a second prism (52), a first rotation mechanism (53), and a second rotation mechanism (54). The controller controls the rotational speeds and the difference in phase angles of the first prism (51) and the second prism (52), on the basis of at least the relationship between a heat affected layer of a member to be machined and the revolving speed of the laser.
