Induction Heating Unit Adjustment Device and Adjusting Method for an Adjustment of at Least One Field Former Element of an Induction Heating Unit
The invention is based on an induction heating unit adjustment device (44a; 44b) for an adjustment of at least one field shape of an alternating field of an induction coil (10a; 10b) of an induction heating unit (12a; 12b), with a field forming unit (14a; 14b) which is configured for a, preferably variable, shaping and/or shielding of the alternating field generated by the induction coil (10a; 10b), comprising at least one field former element (16a; 16b) and a field former receiving unit (18a; 18b), which is configured to hold the field former element (16a; 16b) in and/or on the induction heating unit (12a; 12b).
It is proposed that the induction heating unit adjustment device (44a; 44b) comprises an electronic sensor unit (20a; 20b), which is configured for sensing a type and/or a position of the field former element (16a; 16b) that is held in and/or on the induction heating unit (12a; 12b) by the field former receiving unit (18a; 18b), and for outputting an electronic measurement signal.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING SHRINK-FITTED MEMBER
A method for producing a shrink-fitted member by arranging a pillar shaped ceramic body inside a deep-drawn stainless steel pipe and shrink-fitting them. The method includes: a preparing step of preparing the deep-drawn stainless steel pipe produced by deep-drawing and the pillar shaped ceramic body; a heating step of heating the deep-drawn stainless steel pipe to 900° C. or more; and a shrink-fitting step of inserting the pillar shaped ceramic body into the heated deep-drawn stainless steel pipe and shrink-fitting them.

A method of producing a clad billet includes heating a corrosion resistant alloy (CRA) cylinder having a hollow interior to expand its inner diameter; inserting a solid carbon or low-alloy steel (CS) material into the hollow interior of the heated (CRA) cylinder so that an outer surface of the (CS) material faces the inner diameter of the (CRA) cylinder; cooling the (CRA) cylinder to contract and shrink the inner diameter of the (CRA) cylinder onto the outer surface of the (CS) material creating an interference fit at an interface with the outer surface, resulting in a composite billet assembly; and hot extruding the composite billet assembly to reduce its size and form the clad billet having a metallurgical bond between the (CS) material and the (CRA) cylinder. The clad billet can be hot-rolled to form metallurgically-bonded clad bar, or can be cold pilgered/cold drawn to form a metallurgically-bonded clad pipe.
System and method for induction shrink fitting
An induction heating system can be adapted for shrink fitting a plurality of different assemblies. A plurality of tooling units associated to respective ones of the assemblies, each one having an appropriately configured induction coil and holder, can be provided. A computer can be used to control the delivery of electrical power to the induction coil in accordance with a heating recipe, and can be provided with an input device for inputting an assembly identifier allowing the computer to operate the control based on the right heating recipe.
