Automated end fitting installation system and method
Sucker rods include end fittings having an outer wedge portion proximate to an open end, an inner wedge portion proximate to a closed end, and an intermediate wedge portion between the outer and inner wedges. Each wedge includes a leading edge, a trailing edge, and an angle between the leading and trailing edges. The triangular configuration, length of the leading edge, the length of the trailing edge, and size of the angle in each wedge portion cause distribution of force, such that compressive forces distributed to the rod proximate the closed end exceed compressive forces distributed to the rod proximate the open end. An automated installation procedure installs the end fitting through the use of multiple chucks, positioned by servo motors along a fitting table.
Automated electromagnetic fastener delivery system
A fastener delivery system including a feed tube coupled to a delivery location at a second end of the feed tube. The fastener delivery system includes a fastener feed mechanism comprised of a coil wound around a coupler. The coupler is coupled to the feed tube at a first end of the feed tube. The fastener delivery system includes a fastener positioning device configured to receive a fastener. The fastener positioning device is connected to the coupler and operates to inject the fastener into the coupler. A current is applied through the coil to generate a magnetic field. The magnetic field interacts with the fastener and thereby projects the fastener through the feed tube towards the delivery location.
PARTS ASSEMBLING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A part assembly system is disclosed that includes a first conveyor configured to convey fastening target parts and a second conveyor configured to convey correlated parts to which the fastening target part is to be fastened, including: i) a bolt supplying unit configured in a robot working section between the first and second conveyors and supplying bolts to a predetermined position; and ii) a robot gripper configured in the robot working section, picking up the bolts to distribute the bolts to a fastening position of the fastening target part, and moving the fastening target part to a manual working section of the second conveyor.
Non-path-variable element switch and method for feeding connecting elements
A non-path-variable element switch, in particular for connecting elements, which can be passed continuously by the elements being positive-lockingly guided, in particular head-guided, therein only in a feeding direction, from a plurality of profiled tracks into a number of profiled tracks, which is reduced compared to the plurality of profiled tracks. With the non-path-variable element switch, a plurality of feeding sources with different elements are connected to a processing tool. Thereby, the element switch is characterized in that it comprises no mechanically switchable elements.
BEAD STRINGING APPARATUS FOR LINEAR THERMAL SENSORS
A sleeving apparatus includes a worm gear. The worm gear has a plurality of threads, the worm gear receptive of a bead between adjacent threads of the plurality of threads. A plurality of flexible diaphragms are positioned along the worm gear. Each diaphragm of the plurality of diaphragms is configured to position a wire in alignment with a central bead opening of the bead. With rotation of the worm gear about a worm gear axis, the bead advances onto the wire with the wire passing into the central bead opening. The plurality of diaphragms are configured to allow passage of the bead through each diaphragm of the plurality of diaphragms.
Wheel airtight rubber ring press-fitting device
Disclosed is a wheel airtight rubber ring press-fitting device, consisting of a frame, first servo motors, ball screw pairs, first guide rails, a first cylinder and the like. The device may be used for automatic continuous production. The central axis of an airtight rubber ring coincides with the central axis of the outer rim of a wheel, so that the positioning precision is improved, and high-precision press-fitting is realized. Through cyclic switching of double manipulators, the press-fitting feeding time is nested, the press-fitting cycle is shortened, and the working efficiency is improved.
Transport system, carriage, positioning apparatus, processing system, and positioning method
A carriage on which a workpiece is supplied and which is transported by a transport path has a reference member that is a reference for positioning of the workpiece. The carriage also has a fixing unit, whose motion is controlled by a control unit provided outside the carriage, that fixes the workpiece. The workpiece, which has been positioned in a first direction on the carriage and has not yet been fixed by the fixing unit, is pressed in a second direction against the reference member by a positioning unit, in which the second direction intersects with the first direction, and the workpiece is positioned on the carriage in the second direction.
ASSEMBLY SYSTEM FOR AUTOMOTIVE LAMPS AND AN OPERATING METHOD THEREOF
An assembly system is provided for automotive lamps and an operation method thereof. In the invention, three kinds of function robots are responsible for the transmission work of the workpieces among various functional stations, which realizes automatic coating, fastening, and whole lamp performance testing, etc., and reduces the amount of manual intervention and improves the process integration. By setting a reasonable turnover area, the waiting time caused by the difference of transmission rate among processes is shortened. Meanwhile, the invention provides an assembly system with a bilateral assembly line operating simultaneously, which greatly improves the efficiency of the assembly system.
METHODS OF INSTALLING PRE-MOLDED SEAL CAPS
A method of installing pre-molded seal caps onto fasteners that extend from a surface comprises sequentially delivering the pre-molded seal caps, arranged on a carrier strip, to a plunger mechanism via a feed system. The method also comprises sequentially removing the pre-molded seal caps from the carrier strip using the plunger mechanism, operating in concert with the feed system. The method further comprises individually installing the pre-molded seal caps onto selected ones of the fasteners using the plunger mechanism.
Apparatus and method for severing and inserting collated t-nuts
A continuous strip of T-Nuts formed on a common strip of metal. Each T-Nut of the strip of T-Nuts is integrally connected to the next adjacent T-Nut by carry tabs. The carry tabs can be frangible themselves or contain a frangible portion. Each T-Nut includes a cylindrical bore therein and a threaded interior. A mechanism feeds and severs the endmost T-Nut in endwise fashion. The mechanism to feed and sever the endmost T-Nut includes a cutting blade positioned vertically below the frangible portion of the carry tab. A shearing ram having a guide positioned axially in line with the cylindrical bore in the endmost T-Nut is adapted to move vertically from an upper to a lower position to engage the cutting blade with the frangible portion and sever the endmost T-Nut.
