Collated T-Nut apparatus

A continuous strip of T-Nuts formed on a common strip of metal. Each T-Nut of the strip of T-Nuts is integrally connected to the next adjacent T-Nut by carry tabs. The carry tabs can be frangible themselves or contain a frangible portion. Each T-Nut includes a cylindrical bore therein and a threaded interior. A mechanism feeds and severs the endmost T-Nut in endwise fashion. The mechanism to feed and sever the endmost T-Nut includes a cutting blade positioned vertically below the frangible portion of the carry tab. A shearing ram having a guide positioned axially in line with the cylindrical bore in the endmost T-Nut is adapted to move vertically from an upper to a lower position to engage the cutting blade with the frangible portion and sever the endmost T-Nut.

Cell for inserting components into a workpiece

A cell for mounting components in a workpiece includes a pressing device for inserting at least two different components into a workpiece using pressure. The device includes: a press, a plurality of pushers and a striking plate. The pushers are situated vertically and configured to receive the force exerted by the press. One end of each pusher is configured to receive a component to be inserted in the workpiece. The striking plate is configured to bear the insertion stresses exerted by the press and includes a plurality of support points that may be moved until they are alternatively positioned in an aligned way with a pusher arranged coaxially to the press. The cell includes a robot provided with a claw, the robot being configured to hold the workpiece and position it in the pressing device.

COMPONENT FOR FEEDING ROBOTS, AUTOMATION SYSTEMS AND THE LIKE

Described is a component (1) for powering robots, automation systems and the like which comprises, on a frame (2), a series of belts (3, 4) for conveying objects (9) designed to be gripped by a robot. The conveyor belts (3, 4) constitute a closed path and have a first belt (3) and at least a second belt (4) positioned in such a way that the objects (9) pass from the first belt (3) to the second belt (4) cyclically and continuously.

COMPONENT DELIVERY DEVICE

A component delivery device includes an actuator that displaces an outer sleeve and an inner rod positioned within a cavity of the outer sleeve together from a retracted configuration to an extended configuration to move an ejectable component in relation to a feed head. The actuator further displaces the outer sleeve and not the inner rod to an ejection configuration to displace the ejectable component toward a workpiece. Displacing the outer sleeve and not the inner rod causes the outer sleeve to translate over the inner rod and compresses a biasing member that is disposed within the cavity and in engagement with the inner rod.

STACKABLE COLLAR CARTRIDGES FOR SWAGE TOOLS

Systems and methods are provided for assembling a magazine for a swage tool. The method includes selecting a cartridge that comprises a first serpentine channel dimensioned for conveying collars, and further comprises an entrance and an exit of the first serpentine channel. The method also includes disposing the cartridge at a swage tool.

Automated fastener insert installation system for composite panels

An automated fastener insert installation system for composite panels is provided. A first module receives and secures a composite panel with respect to an origin of a first coordinate system, wherein the composite panel has opposed major surfaces and defines an insert-receiving orifice extending through one of the major surfaces, and is secured such that one of the major surfaces is externally accessible. A second module engages each of a plurality of fastener inserts with an installation aide. Third module determines a configuration of the orifice defined by the composite panel, selects a corresponding one of the fastener inserts engaged with the installation aide, inserts the selected fastener insert into the orifice, and dispenses an adhesive material through the installation aide and into the orifice about selected fastener insert such that the adhesive material secures the selected fastener insert within the orifice. Associated systems are also provided.
