Cassette fed automated clip application system
An automated clip application system for fitting clips in an automotive assembly line includes a cassette receiving station for receiving at least one cassette preloaded with a plurality of clips. The clips in the cassette are arranged in the same orientation. A dispensing opening dispenses clips from the cassette one at a time, and a robotic member is programmed to pick up the clips, one at a time, after they have been dispensed from the dispensing opening and fasten each clip in position in an automotive assembly.

The disclosure relates to a system and method for changing location pins on a pallet for an assembly line. The system may include a plurality of pallets, each pallet including at least a first and second sockets configured to receive a location pin. The system may include a pin changing unit located between a top assembly line and a lower return line. The pin changing unit may include a pin grabber configured to engage the location pin within the first socket. The pin changing unit may include a horizontal linear actuator configured to move the pin grabber and the engaged location pin into alignment with the second socket. The pin changing unit may include a vertical linear actuator configured to extend the pin grabber into engagement with the location pin and retract the pin grabber away from the location pin.

Method for assembling a cartridge for a smoking article
The present disclosure relates to systems, apparatuses, and methods for assembling cartridges for aerosol delivery devices. The cartridges may be assembled by coupling a base of the cartridge to a carriage that is transported via a track. The track transports the carriages between various substations at which one or more parts are added to the base. The carriage may be lifted from the track by a lifter mechanism at each substation in order to perform assembly operations on the base. An inspection system may inspect the cartridges at various stages of completion at or between the various substations.

Clip installation tooling and method for installing clips including a magazine for holding a plurality of clips and clip end of arm tooling for picking up at least one clip at a time. The magazine stops at predetermined intervals for spacing each respective clip into openings on the magazine. The clip end of arm tooling has at least one body connected to a plurality of cylinders each with an inlet/outlet port receiving vacuum/air blow off. The clip end of arm tooling picks up one or more clips from the magazine at a time. The vacuum generation to the port(s) assists in holding the clip(s) and eliminates dropping clip(s) prior to placement for installation of the clip(s). After the clip(s) is/are placed, air blow off through the port(s) insures clip(s) are removed from the clip end of arm tooling and stay in the desired position(s).

The elastic bands then snap onto the tops of their respective bottles to secure the tags to the bottles.
