The stacked truss components are moved into engagement with a series of staplers that secure the filler strips, top rails and blocks together to form first truss rail portions, which are then fed to a second truss rail assembly station where a bottom rail is automatically applied thereto.

A fixture for automatically replacing a defective/burnback contact tip coupled to a torch arm of a robotic welder wherein the robotic welder is configured to feed a welding wire to the contact tip. The robotic welder includes a nozzle coupled to the torch arm which is disposed at the contact tip. The fixture includes a first station configured to remove the nozzle from the torch arm and to hold the nozzle for reattachment to the torch arm. A second station is configured to remove the contact tip from the torch arm. A third station includes a plurality of holding units each being configured to hold an unused contact tip, wherein the third station is configured to move one of the plurality of holding units to a predetermined location to locate the unused contact tip for attachment to the torch arm.

The gantry has a first member and a second member disposed opposite the first member so as to define an opening. The first and the second mobile arms are disposed on the first and the second members, respectively. The at least one conveyor is operative to move the part through the opening so as to position the part within access of the first and the second mobile arms. The at least one sensor is operative to guide the first and the second mobile arms to one or more areas of the part. The first and the second mobile arms are operative to perform a manufacturing process on the part at the one or more areas.

An assembly station includes at least one build platform table configured to move about three orthogonal axes, at least one part placement robot configured to position and hold components on and above the at least one build platform table, and at least one fused filament fabrication robot with a printer head configured to fused filament weld at least two components together. The at least one build platform table is configured to rotate during assembly of a plurality of components such that the fused filament is extruded vertically from the printer head during fused filament welding of the at least two components together. Also the at least one part placement robot is configured to position and hold a first component a predetermined distance from a second component during fused filament welding of the first component to the second component.

The adhesive dispensing robot is configured to apply an adhesive between the first sub-assembly and the second sub-assembly, after the second sub-assembly is attached to the first sub-assembly, to bond the second sub-assembly to the first sub-assembly.
