Adjustable workpiece support system and method
An adjustable workpiece support system includes an adjustable support apparatus, an analysis support point module, a coordinate post-processing module and a control module. The adjustable support apparatus has a group of support devices for supporting a supported workpiece, the each support device being adjustable in height and angle. The analysis support point module is used to import a computer-aided design file of the supported workpiece, and analyze the computer-aided design file to obtain a group of support points of the supported workpiece. The coordinate post-processing module is configured to calculate the support coordinates of the each support device corresponding to the group of support points. The control module is configured to receive the support coordinates of the each support device, and adjust the height and angle of the each support device to support the supported workpiece, so that the amount of deformation of the supported workpiece is the minimum.
MEASUREMENT DEVICE FOR A MACHINE TOOL
A hard-wired measurement device is mountable within an enclosure of a computer-controlled machine tool. The device includes a measurement sensor for measuring objects, such as tools, within the machine tool enclosure and a hard-wired interface module for providing an electrical connection via one or more wires with an associated external interface located outside of the machine tool enclosure. The device further includes a wireless communications module that enables wireless communication with an associated wireless device, such as a spindle probe, located within the machine tool enclosure.

A tool rest has a base, a tool holder rotatably supported on the base, and rotatably holding a tool, a rotational mechanism rotating the tool holder, a plurality of flexible linear members in which one ends of the plurality of linear members are connected with the tool holder and a winding device connected with the other ends of the plurality of linear members, and winding up the plurality of linear members by rotating when the tool holder is rotated by the rotational mechanism.
Methods and apparatus for construction of machine tools
Cement or other liquid-like material fills the hollow tubes of a machine tool under construction. The machine tool structures are held rigidly against a fixture while the substance dries. The machine tool so constructed is relatively lightweight and rigid, and obviates the need for precision machining of large portions of the apparatus.
WORK PROCESSING APPARATUS
Provided is a work processing apparatus configured so that limitations on the contents of processing for a work piece or the type of work piece can be reduced and processing for a wider range of processing contents and work piece can be performed. In a work processing apparatus 100, a work table 101 is, through a table displacement mechanism 103, supported on a rotation base 120 to be rotatably driven by a table rotary drive motor 125, and a weight holding tool 110 is supported on the rotation base 120 through a weight displacement mechanism 114. The table displacement mechanism 103 includes a rack-and-pinion mechanism configured to displace the work table 101 in an X-axis direction as viewed in the figure. At the table displacement mechanism 103, a power inputter 108 configured to input drive force from a table displacement mechanism drive apparatus 130 is provided. The table displacement mechanism drive apparatus 130 is, by a drive source displacement apparatus 132, connected to or disconnected from the power inputter 108.
Device and Method for Transferring Electrical Power to a High-Speed Rotating Object
A device and method using the electromechanical properties of piezoelectric materials to generate and deliver electrical power to a high speed electrically powered rotatable shaft. The device has a stationary module that is connected to an electrical source; and has a rotatable module, which is mechanically connected to the electrically powered rotatable shaft. The rotatable module rotates relative to the stationary module. When the stationary module is electrically energized, the stationary piezoelectric component expands and causes the rotatable piezoelectric component to compress. When the rotatable piezoelectric component compresses, it generates electrical power transferred to the electrically powered rotatable shaft. Thus, electrical energy can be delivered to the electrically powered rotatable shaft without a direct electrical connection. The present invention is particularly useful in applications requiring large diameter through-hole dimensions.
Replaceable tool holder
A replaceable tool holder includes a connector adapted to be engaged with and driven to rotate by a spindle, a tool chuck, of which an end is detachably engaged with the connector and another end is adapted to engage a tool, and an electronic component provided in a chamber inside the tool chuck. The connector is provided with a non-contact power transmission device. A passage is provided in the connector and the tool chuck, wherein a wire is disposed in the passage, transmitting electric power to serve the need of the electronic component. With such design, one connector can be used to connect tool chucks of different types or models. Therefore, a user could, as required, replace the connecting interface between the tool holder and the spindle or the connecting interface between the tool holder and the tool. Furthermore, the electronic component could be steadily supplied with electric power.
MEASURING SYSTEM FOR MONITORING A SPINDLE
A measuring system monitors a spindle. The measuring system includes a cylindrical housing which can be arranged in and mechanically firmly connected to a spindle housing. A carrier ring is arranged inside the cylindrical housing. Three sensors for measuring a radial displacement and three sensors for measuring an axial displacement of the spindle are distributed over a circumference of the carrier ring. The sensors are cast with the carrier ring.

CHARGING DEVICE FOR TOOL HOLDER
A charging device for a tool holder disposed in a holder grabber includes a wireless signal module disposed at the tool holder, a plurality of charging contacts disposed at the tool holder, and a charging module disposed also at the holder grabber. Each of the plurality of charging contacts is connected with the wireless signal module. The charging module includes a plurality of charging pins. When the tool holder is positioned at the holder grabber, each of the plurality of charging pins contacts at the corresponding charging contact for charging the tool holder.
