A self-catheterization assist device is provided. The self-catheterization assist device includes an adjustable support component; a yoke attached to the adjustable support component; a mirror surround rotatably attached to the yoke; a dual-sided mirror with a flat surface and a concave surface mounted within the mirror surround; and an independently repositionable focused-beam lamp mounted on the mirror surround. A self-catheterization assist kit is also provided. The kit includes a visual aid device and a urine containment bowl. The visual aid device has an adjustable support component; a yoke attached to the adjustable support component; a mirror surround rotatably attached to the yoke; a dual-sided mirror with a flat surface and a concave surface mounted within the mirror surround; and an independently repositionable focused-beam lamp mounted on the mirror surround. The urine containment bowl is attachable to the adjustable support component.

The present technology relates to a display device and a display control method that enable improvement of user experience. Provided is a display device including: a control unit that, when displaying a video corresponding to an image frame obtained by capturing a user on a display unit, controls luminance of a lighting region including a first region including the user in the image frame and at least a part of a second region of the second region excluding the first region to cause the lighting region to function as a light that emits light to the user. The present technology can be applied, for example, to a television receiver.

According to one embodiment, a system includes a cabinet, a cabinet housing, a mirrored door, and an accessory. The mirrored door includes a first mirror having a reflective surface forming an outer surface of the mirrored door, a second mirror having a reflective surface forming an inner surface of the mirrored door, and a first ferromagnetic element embedded within the mirrored door and located between the first and second mirrors. The accessory, which includes a second ferromagnetic element, is sized and shaped to be stored within the storage compartment of the cabinet. The accessory can be mounted to the mirrored door by magnetic attraction between the first and second ferromagnetic elements.

A magnifying cosmetic mirror may provide a three-point reflection path that may be utilized to apply cosmetics around the eye of a user. The cosmetic mirror may be constructed to have a base mirror and side mirrors extending at angles from opposite sides of the base mirror. The side mirrors may be constructed to provide a reflective view of the eye when placed above the base mirror. The base mirror may also be constructed to provide a reflective view of the eye, and each mirror may be substantially flat.

A mirror comprises a mirror surface, a display device, an imaging and distance measuring device and a processor; the imaging and distance measuring device is used to acquire a first user image stream, detect a distance between a user and the mirror surface; the processor is configured to determine, from the first user image stream and the distance, a coordinate of a target position at which the user is gazing in a preset coordinate system, and to zoom in the first user image stream, with a position corresponding to the position coordinate in the first user image stream as the center, and to obtain a second user image stream; the display device is configured to display at least a portion of a central region of the second user image stream; the central region is centered on a location corresponding to the position coordinates in the second user image stream.

A magnifying cosmetic mirror may provide a three-point reflection path that may be utilized to apply cosmetics around the eye of a user. The cosmetic mirror may be constructed to have a base mirror and side mirrors extending at angles from opposite sides of the base mirror. The side mirrors may be constructed to provide a reflective view of the eye when placed above the base mirror. The base mirror may also be constructed to provide a reflective view of the eye, and each mirror may be substantially flat.

A make-up mirror system having a mirror, a LED light system integrated around a circumferential edge of the mirror, a fan integrated around the circumferential edge of the LED light system, and a control system which activates the LED light system and the fan based on user commands.

The invention comprises a hands-free, adjustable telescoping magnifying mirror. The mirror may have a first reflective surface and a second reflective surface and can be secured to a horizontal or vertical surface using a suction cup base or can be hung over a door or ledge using a retractable hanger bracket. A multi-stage telescoping rod is attached to the suction cup base and a swivel joint may be used to connect the telescoping rod to the mirror housing. The mirror may be extended from the base by extending the telescoping rod and the mirror assembly can stand freely without falling over, whether the suction cup base is engaged or not. A system that includes a cabinet and an accessory capable of being stored within a storage compartment of the cabinet. The cabinet may include a cabinet housing and a mirrored door having a ferromagnetic element. The mirrored door may include a first mirror having a reflective surface forming an outer surface of the mirrored door and a second mirror having a reflective surface forming an inner surface of the mirrored door. The ferromagnetic element may be embedded within the first and second mirrors. In an example the first ferromagnetic element may be an elongated plate formed of a ferromagnetic material. The accessory may include another ferromagnetic element that may include one or more magnets. The accessory may be sized and shaped to be capable of being stored within a storage compartment of the cabinet. The accessory may be mounted to the mirrored door by magnetic attraction between the ferromagnetic elements.
