Working Device
20170368653 · 2017-12-28 ·

A working device is proposed, with a positioning system, containing at least one pallet that is positionable and movable by performing a two-dimensional positioning movement in a positioning plane. The pallet is provided with at least one application area, on which in a work zone by means of a handling unit an application can be performed. The work zone is isolated from the handling unit by a protective cover, which is penetrated by an access opening, through which the handling unit can be moved by an application movement directed perpendicularly to the positioning plane, in order to perform an application in the application area of the pallet positioned in the area of the access opening.

A tool gripping mechanism includes a tool holder and a shaft to which the tool holder is attached. The shaft is fixed to a rotary shaft of a spindle device. A plurality of magnets are disposed in pairs on concentric circles on surfaces of the tool holder and the shaft which face each other. When the tool holder is in a specific phase with respect to the shaft, the magnets of the tool holder and the magnets of the shaft attract each other, and the tool holder is aligned with respect to the shaft in that phase.

Support structure and method of forming a support structure

A structure for fixing a membrane to a carrier including a carrier; a suspended structure; and a holding structure with a rounded concave shape which is configured to fix the suspended structure to the carrier and where a tapered side of the holding structure physically connects to the suspended structure is disclosed. A method of forming the holding structure on a carrier to support a suspended structure is further disclosed. The method may include: forming a holding structure on a carrier; forming a suspended structure on the holding structure; shaping the holding structure such that it has a concave shape; and arranging the holding structure such that a tapered side of the holding structure physically connects to the suspended structure.

Positioning device

A positioning device includes a support member configured to carry a workpiece, a plurality of pins positioned on the support member, and a plurality of telescoping mechanisms positioned on the support member. Each of the telescoping mechanisms comprises a driving member and a rotating member connected to the driving member. The positioning pins slidably pass through the support member and are pivotably connected to an opposite end of the rotating member. The rotating member rotates relative to the support member via the driving member to adjust an extending length of the positioning pins relative to the support member.

A method of providing datum features on a ceramic article including the steps of providing a ceramic member having a plurality of substantially parallel holes extending into the ceramic member. Providing a plurality of tubular mounts, the cross-sectional area of each tubular mount being less than the cross-sectional area of the corresponding hole. Applying adhesive to the exterior surface of each one of the tubular mounts and inserting an adhesive covered tubular mount into each one of the holes. Providing a fixture member having a plurality of substantially parallel projections extending from predetermined positions. Positioning the ceramic member on the fixture member such that each projection locates in one of the tubular mounts and fixes the tubular mounts at the predetermined positions. The ceramic article may be removed from the fixture member or located in a machine tool using the fixture member and machining the ceramic article.

POSITIONING DEVICE, IN PARTICULAR TOOL POSITIONING DEVICE, FOR A PROCESSING CENTER, AND PROCESSING CENTER WITH SAME
20170297155 · 2017-10-19 · ·

A positioning device, in particular a tool positioning device, for a processing center that comprises a compound slide with a first slide movable in a longitudinal direction of the processing center and a second slide that can be moved in a transverse direction relative to the first slide. The first and the second slides have a matching offset configuration of the sides opposite each other, that bear guides and guide elements that interact with each other in order to guide the second slide in the transverse direction. These guides and guide elements are in part arranged at different heights in a vertical direction in such a manner that the second slide is guided on the first slide on at least two spaced apart guiding points, wherein the guiding distance between the guiding points varies during a traversing motion of the second slide relative to the first slide in the transverse direction.
