Device for the fine machining of a circumferential workpiece surface and method for operating the device
A device for the fine machining of a circumferential workpiece surface arranged eccentrically relative to an axis of a workpiece. The device comprises a pressure mechanism configured to press a fine-machining tool against the circumferential workpiece surface. The device also includes a drive unit configured to drive an active section of the pressure mechanism via a first drive and a second drive. The first drive drives the active section in a movement plane that runs crosswise to the workpiece axis along a first movement trajectory. The second drive drives the active section along a second movement trajectory that is at an angle to the first movement trajectory.
Manual pulse generating device
A manual pulse generating device is equipped with a rotatable dial, a pulse generating unit configured to generate drive pulses for commanding axial movement of a machine tool in accordance with an amount of rotation of the dial, and a casing having the dial disposed on a surface of the casing and accommodating the pulse generating unit in the interior thereof. When the dial is pressed toward the casing, the pulse generating unit enables the axial movement in accordance with the drive pulses.
IN-PROCESS PART MACHINING ORIENTATION CHANGE/INDEX
A system and method for transferring a part being machined by a machine from a first fixture to a second fixture so that an un-machined side of the part can be exposed for machining, where the first fixture is secured to a first actuator and the second fixture is secured to a second actuator. The method includes securing the part to the first fixture, operating the first actuator so that the part is able to be machined on sides of the part except a side of the part coupled to the first fixture, and machining the part while the part is secured to the first fixture. The method operates the first actuator and the second actuator so that the part secured to the first fixture is aligned with the second fixture, and secures the part to the second fixture and releases the part from the first fixture.

Workpiece processing method
A workpiece processing method includes a carry-in step of carrying a workpiece into the field of view of a magnifier, a work step of performing predetermined work on the workpiece based on an image provided via the magnifier, and a carry-out step of carrying the workpiece out of the field of view of the magnifier. A robot performs at least one of the carry-in step and the carry-out step as well as the work step.

Processing mechanism
A mechanism for machining a workpiece includes a fixing base, a driving member, a connecting member, a cutter, a first guiding sleeve, and a spring. The driving member is positioned above the fixing base. The connecting member is coupled to the driving member. One end of the cutter is fixed to the connecting member, and the cutter is passed through the fixing base to machine the workpiece positioned under the fixing base. The spring is positioned between the connecting member and the fixing base. The spring is compressed when the driving member drives the cutter away from the fixing base to machine the workpiece, and the spring restores to bring the cutter back toward the fixing base after the machining.

MACHINE TOOL WITH WORK TRANSFERRING MECHANISM
A machine tool with work transferring mechanism 1 provided with a work transferring mechanism 8 which transfers a work 10 and receives/delivers the work 10 from/to a main spindle 3, wherein in the front-rear direction, the space inside the machine tool 1 is divided via a shutter 11 into a machining space 12 in which the main spindle 3 is arranged and a transferring space 13 in which the work transferring mechanism 8 transfers the work 10; the work transferring mechanism 8 is equipped with a work retainer 9 retaining the work 10, and a moving mechanism moving the work retainer 9; and while the work 10 attached to the main spindle 3 is being machined, the work retainer 9 is preliminarily moved by the moving mechanism to a vicinity of the main spindle 3 via the shutter 11.
BAR FEEDER AND MACHINE TOOL
Provided is a bar feeder that pushes a rod-shaped workpiece into a hollow main shaft having a holding mechanism at one end of the main shaft, from another end, the bar feeder being arranged in a work room arranged adjacent to a processing room where the main shaft is installed, the work room being provided with a work machine including a transport mechanism for moving an article to and from the processing room, and the bar feeder being arranged at a position at which at least a portion thereof overlaps with the work mechanism in a top view or a front view.
