Muntin bar fabrication system
A muntin bar fabrication system can be used to efficiency produce a wide variety of different types of muntin bars, allowing the fabrication of both standard and custom muntin bar assemblies for doors, windows, and other fenestration products. In some examples, the fabrication system includes a muntin bar stock storage assembly that holds multiple different types of muntin bar stock. The system also includes a muntin bar stock extraction device that extracts one of the different types of muntin bar stock from the storage assembly and conveys the extracted muntin bar stock to a feed device. The feed device feeds the extracted piece of muntin bar stock into a cutting system that includes a multi-axis cutter. The cutting system that performs one or more cutting operations on the extracted muntin bar stock so as to fabricate one or more individual muntin bars from the extracted muntin bar stock.
Lift assist and transfer assembly and method of use
A lift assist and transfer assembly for lifting and moving a component through a travel distance is described. The assembly includes an overhead rail mounted to a ceiling of a work environment. The rail has a first end and a second end, corresponding to a loading area and a work area defining the travel distance. A carriage is slidably attached to the rail for supporting the component and a pneumatic cylinder element at the second end of the rail is attached an overhead fixture of the ceiling. The pneumatic cylinder element is biased into a retracted position and extends to an extended position upon actuation to move the second end of the rail downward. The carriage slides along the rail from the first end to the second end upon actuation of the cylinder to displace the second end of the rail such that the rail has a downward slope.

Pallet changing apparatus
A pallet changing apparatus adopting a table 4 capable of moving back from and forth for a side of a turning shaft 1 and having a oscillating portion 41 for placing workpieces W, W by means of pallets P, P so as to oscillate freely by an upright portion 42 at the leading end of the table 4, wherein the turning shaft 1 covers a turning supporting portion 11 at its lower end side and turns together with a pallet changing arm 3 and moves freely in a vertical direction, and an insertion and removal hollow space 20 is provided, at the covering region, and allows the upright portion 42 to be inserted into the insertion and removal hollow space 20 and removed from the insertion and removal hollow space 20.
FASTENING DEVICE
A fastening device is equipped with a stocker. The stocker has a circular arcuate shape which is curved in a horizontal plane, and accommodates fastening tools in a state of being aligned in a row. The fastening tool that is positioned at a most downstream side of the stocker is supplied to the receiving site by an unloading and supplying device. Furthermore, the fastening tool supplied to the receiving site is screw-rotated by a screw-rotating device that is displaced toward the fastening tool.
Indexer for operating workpieces
A method and apparatus for changing pallets delivered to a machining center. Different workpieces are connected or attached to different pallets. A first workpiece corresponding to a first pallet is delivered to or near an indexer or indexer assembly and the indexer is moved into an engaged position and performs a work operation on the first workpiece. The indexer is then moved to a disengaged position and the first pallet and the first workpiece are exchanged or switched out with a second pallet having a second workpiece. The indexer is then moved to an engaged position and works the second workpiece and when completed, the indexer moves to the disengaged position and the second workpiece is exchanged or switched out with a third pallet having a third workpiece. The indexer system of this invention can quickly and cost-effectively cycle through different pallets and thus different workpieces.
WORKPIECE STORAGE DEVICE AND WORKPIECE HANDLING SYSTEM HAVING A WORKPIECE STORAGE DEVICE
The disclosure relates to a workpiece handling systems and workpiece storage devices for elongate workpieces of shaft-like form which are at least substantially rotationally symmetrical relative to their longitudinal axis and which have along their longitudinal axis at least one projection extending in the peripheral direction, which projection protrudes radially outwards relative to a workpiece region arranged immediately axially adjacent thereto. The workpiece storage device includes a base plate and a plurality of workpiece holders. The workpiece holders are fastened to the base plate and protrude upwards therefrom, and which define workpiece receiving surfaces. In each case, at least two workpiece holders are associated with a workpiece to be received, wherein the workpiece holders associated with a workpiece to be received are so configured, spaced apart from one another and oriented relative to one another that the longitudinal axis of a workpiece placed thereon from above slopes relative to the horizontal in such a manner that the workpiece moves under the force of gravity, following the slope, until its projection comes into contact with one of the workpiece holders.
Manufacturing system
A manufacturing system includes a base and multiple work machine modules that are attachable and detachable to and from the base arranged in the arrangement direction on the base or on the side of the base, in which the plurality of work machine modules include one or more processing work modules that perform machine processing work on a workpiece using a tool, and one or more supplementary work modules that perform supplementary work that is work supplementarily performed to the machine processing work. Since it is possible to easily increase and decrease the number of processing work modules and supplementary work modules or sort the modules, it is possible to easily recombine the modules with respect to modification of the manufacturing process.
AUTOMATIC PALLET CHANGER IN MACHINE TOOL
An automatic pallet changer 2 includes: a pallet housing unit 11 having a plurality of pallet placement portions; and a pallet transfer unit 12 configured to transfer a pallet P that is at a required pallet placement portion and has an un-machined workpiece W attached thereto to a standby station S2 and configured to transfer a pallet P that is at the standby station S2 and has a machined workpiece W attached thereto to a required pallet placement portion. The pallet housing unit 11 includes: main housing portions 13a to 13f that have a plurality of rows of pallet placement portions, each having a plurality of stages, and are disposed to face the machine tool body 1; and three rows of secondary housing portions 14 that have one stage of pallet placement portions and are disposed above the machine tool body 1.
Workpiece conveyance pallet and production line
