SEALING SURFACE PROCESSING MACHINE AND METHOD
A sealing surface processing machine cuts an attachment surface of a seal member in a valve main body. The machine includes a pedestal attached to the valve main body; a main body movably supported on the pedestal; a tool holder configured to hold a tool for processing the attachment surface; a rotating part configured to rotate the tool holder around an axis parallel to a movement direction of a valve body; a first moving part configured to move the tool holder along a first direction along which the valve body moves; a second moving part configured to move the tool holder along a second direction intersecting with the movement direction of the valve body; a first adjustment device configured to adjust a position of the main body in the first direction; and a second adjustment device configured to adjust a position of the main body in the second direction.
Large diameter travelling pipe cutter
According to an aspect of the present disclosure, a low profile travelling pipe cutter is provided which is adapted to perform at least one of cutting and beveling a hollow vessel while traveling around the vessel using a cutting tool mounted thereon. The pipe cutter includes inner and outer carriages, a capstan assembly attached to the outer carriage to which a feed cable is attached, and rollers attached to the outer carriage to which a tension cable is attached. The force adjustment assembly changes the vertical position of the outer carriage relative to the inner carriage to compensate for the pipe cutter going inwardly and outwardly as it travels around a hollow vessel in order to maintain constant pressure caused by the lever tension interface. A guard assembly is provided for covering and uncovering the cutting tool during cutting.
Method for mounting an endpiece for securing a flexible tubular pipe and apparatus for implementing same
A method for mounting an endpiece for securing a tubular pipe and apparatus for implementing same. The method includes the steps of: a) providing an endpiece and a ring (36) having an outer rotationally symmetrical cylindrical surface (40), and a sheath having a sheath end (32) and an outer circular edge (46); b) inserting the ring (36) into the sheath end (32); c) leveling off the outer circular edge (46); and d) covering the leveled edge with the endpiece. In step b) the ring (36, 36, 36) is inserted leaving one of the ends (44) thereof extending out of the sheath end (32), and in step c) the outer circular edge (46) is leveled off, by engaging the one of the two ring ends (44).
Tool-support system
A tool-support system for working on holes of a surface. The tool-support system includes two rails fixed to the surface and having imprints regularly distributed over their length, and a mobile tool-support including a mobile optical system capturing an image of the surface. For each rail, at least one wheel is adapted to be moved on the rail, and includes on its rolling strip counter-imprints complementary to the imprints. A mobile tool carries a working tip, and a control unit is configured to control the movement of the mobile tool-support, of the tool and of the optical system to analyze an image captured by the optical system and to detect the presence of a hole. A tool-support system of this kind can therefore move along the rails without slipping while detecting the holes to work on them.
Pilot pin for drill press
A pilot pin assembly is slidably receivable within a tool bit of a drill press. The pilot pin assembly includes a first pin defining an interior cavity, and a second pin at least partially received within the interior cavity of the first pin. A spring is positioned within the interior cavity for biasing the second pin toward an extended position relative to the first pin.
Reconfigurable flexible rail method
A method and apparatus for performing operations on a work piece comprises a flexible rail system and a multi-axis carriage. The flexible rail system may be capable of being attached to a work surface. The multi-axis carriage may be coupled to the flexible rail system. The multi-axis carriage may be capable of moving along the flexible rail system and may be capable of moving a tool in axes relative to the work surface. The tool may be single use or multi use and may be removably coupled to the frame and or carriage.

Milling device and method for milling within a slot
A milling device is provided, having a milling tool that rotates about a tool rotation axis, wherein the milling device has a slide, and in that the milling tool is held on a pivot axis that extends transversely, in particular perpendicular, to the tool rotation axis and through the slide, wherein the slide is designed and the position of the milling tool is selected such that, during milling, a traversing movement is effected by manually moving the slide and advance is effected by pivoting the milling tool about the pivot axis. Also provided is a method for milling within a slot of a component, in particular within a blade root receiving slot of a turbomachine, using a milling device.
Gearbox repair apparatus
The present disclosure is directed to a gearbox repair apparatus for repairing a bore hole of a gearbox torque arm. In certain embodiments, the apparatus includes a mounting structure configured to mount to the torque arm. The mounting structure includes a through hole that aligns with the bore hole of the torque arm when mounted thereto. As such, when mounted to the torque arm, the mounting structure is configured to locate a boring bar at a center of the bore hole such that the boring bar is perpendicular to a face of the torque arm. Further, the mounting structure is configured to receive the boring bar through the aligned through hole and bore hole such that, when inserted therethrough, the boring bar is configured to machine and thus repair the bore hole.
Magnet sensing portable autonomous device and method of operation
A magnet sensing portable autonomous device includes a platform. A plurality of wheel sets is coupled to the platform. A drive system is used for driving the plurality of wheels. An attachment mechanism is positioned on an underside of the platform for securing the device to a surface. A control board is used for controlling the operation of the device. In some embodiments, a drill spindle assembly is coupled to the platform. A drill feed assembly is coupled to the drill spindle assembly for raising and lowering the drill spindle assembly. A plurality of sensors are operable to sense one or more magnets disposed below the surface. A drive table is used for positioning the drill spindle assembly in an XY plane based on an output of said plurality of sensors.
