MONITORING DEVICE AND MONITORING METHOD
Provided is a monitoring device and a monitoring method that can capture the condition of a coolant in detail. A monitoring device according to one embodiment includes: a first detection unit that detects a first physical quantity; a second detection unit that detects a second physical quantity; a ratio calculation unit that calculates the ratio between a first value obtained when the first physical quantity is expressed using a specified unit, and a second value obtained when the second physical quantity is expressed using a specified unit; and an inferring unit that, if the calculated ratio is above an upper limit value of a management range or below a lower limit value of the management range, infers that one among an oil and an electrolyte contained in the coolant is abnormal.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DETECTING AN APPROACH OF A TOOL TO A WORKPIECE
A device for determining an approach of a tool to a workpiece in a machine tool with internal cooling supply includes a measuring arrangement, having a measuring graduation arranged in a rotationally fixed manner on a shaft and at least one position sensor arranged in a fixed manner relative to the shaft, and a data processor. The position sensor is adapted to scan the measuring graduation and to generate position values therefrom that indicate a position of the shaft. The position values are fed to the data processor, which, by evaluating a progression of the position values when the tool approaches the workpiece, determines that the tool is located in an approach area relative to the workpiece, and signals, by an approach signal, when the tool reaches an approach position relative to the workpiece, in which the tool is close to the workpiece without touching it.
ELECTROSTATIC CHUCK APPARATUS
An electrostatic chuck apparatus is provided that is capable of effectively reducing temperature imbalance of a wafer substrate that is heated to a high temperature. The electrostatic chuck apparatus includes a base including a cooling flow path through which a refrigerant may flow, an adiabatic layer on the base, a uniform heating plate on the adiabatic layer, a heating element between the adiabatic layer and the uniform heating plate, an insulating layer on the uniform heating plate and including a ceramic, a conductive layer on the insulating layer and having an area smaller than an area of the insulating layer, and a dielectric layer on the conductive layer and including a ceramic.
Operation Panel for Machine Tool
An operation panel for a machine tool includes: a first case that accommodates a cooling target object; a blower device that is disposed in the first case; and an air guide member that forms an air flow passage in the first case and that guides air blown out from the blower device toward the cooling target object through the air flow passage. The air flow passage includes an expanded flow passage section in which a flow passage area of the air flow passage increases from an upstream side of an airflow toward a downstream side of the airflow.
Regeneration device for regenerating a coolant dispersion
A regeneration device for regenerating a coolant dispersion with phase change material includes: a redispersion unit for redispersing the coolant dispersion, the redispersion unit including a restrictor; and a recooling unit that enables freezing of a phase change material by dissipating heat stored in the coolant dispersion. The recooling unit is arranged so that dissipated heat is at least partially recuperated in order to heat up the coolant dispersion to an inlet temperature.
SPINDLE DRIVE TOOL AND METHOD OF REFILLING A LUBRICANT CARTRIDGE OF AN AUTOMATIC LUBRICATION SYSTEM USING SUCH A TOOL
A spindle drive tool for adjusting a position of a head of a spindle relative to a piston of an electro-mechanical automatic lubrication system in which the spindle and piston are connected by complementary screw threads includes a mounting portion and a coupling portion connected to the mounting portion. The mounting portion includes a bearing surface having a spindle head inlet at a first end, a first cavity and a second cavity. The spindle head inlet opens into the first cavity, the first cavity has a cross section configured to couple with the spindle head such that the spindle head cannot rotate relative to the mounting portion while in the first cavity, and the second cavity is coaxially with the first cavity and has a larger cross section than the first cavity such that the spindle head can rotate freely in the second cavity.
Fixture clamp manifold apparatus and system for using
A clamp and manifold apparatus comprising internal fluid-flow passages and such apparatus in a system. One embodiment of the apparatus of the invention comprises a clamp body; a manifold, an attachment feature for attaching to a fixture system; a clamping surface; at least one fluid flow passage inside the manifold having at least two endpoints; a first port disposed adjacent to the manifold and in fluid communication with one endpoint of the at least one fluid flow passage inside the manifold; and, a second port disposed adjacent to a second surface of the manifold in fluid communication with the second endpoint of the at least one fluid flow passage inside the body. An embodiment of the system of the invention comprises said clamp and manifold; a fixture; a fluid distribution pump; and fluid routing means connecting the fluid distribution pump and the first port of the apparatus of the system.

Smart coolant pump
A smart coolant pump for a robotic or computer-controlled machine. The smart pump uses a servo motor rather than a conventional industrial motor such as an induction motor. The smart pump has inherent torque and speed sensing, and a controller integrated with the computer-controlled machine controller. The motor torque/speed sensing and coolant pressure/flow sensing enable immediate detection of any anomalous conditions such as low coolant level or coolant port blockage. The smart pump can be configured to run at a certain speed and provide a specific coolant pressure and flow rate for each machining operation performed at the station, and to run at a very low speed between machining operations. This speed configurability saves energy and allows the pump and coolant to run at lower temperatures compared to conventional constant-speed coolant pumps.
Rotary seal
A rotary union for use along an incompressible fluid path between a rotating machine component and a non-rotating machine component includes a non-rotating seal carrier including a non-rotating seal element, which together with the non-rotating seal carrier define a net hydraulic surface on an internal side and a net pneumatic surface on an external side. Contact of an incompressible fluid under pressure with the net hydraulic surface creates a closing force, and contact of a compressible fluid under pressure with the net pneumatic surface creates an opening force.
