Router including cutting depth locking and adjustment mechanism
A router includes a motor unit and a base that receives the motor unit. A threaded shaft is supported on either the motor unit or the base. A slide is supported on the other of the motor unit and the base. The slide engages with the shaft in a first position of the slide in which micro-adjustments to a cutting depth are permitted. The slide disengages with the shaft in a second position of the slide in which macro-adjustments to the cutting depth are permitted. With a lever in a locked position, neither macro-adjustments nor micro-adjustments are permitted regardless of the slide being in the first position or the second position. With the lever in a micro-adjustment position, only micro-adjustments are permitted with the slide in the first position. With the lever in an unlocked position, the lever disengages the slide from the shaft to permit macro-adjustments.
DOUBLE ROTATION INDEXING DEVICE
A double rotation indexing device includes two sets of rotation indexing units. Each of the rotation indexing units includes a main shaft and a drive transmission mechanism which includes a drive shaft, a disk-shaped driven member and a drive member. The drive shaft is supported on one end side via a bearing holder and is supported on an other end side via a radial bearing. The drive shafts of both rotation indexing units are connected by a connecting member. A drive motor is connected to an end portion of the drive shaft. The other end of the drive shaft in one rotation indexing unit is connected to the other end of the drive shaft in the other rotation indexing unit.
Multi-station rotary screen printer having support for holding a cap during printing
Improvements in a rotary screen printer that operates with a stepper motor for indexing the screen printer. The stepper motor provides a positive rotation and locating of the printing arms. The stepper motor can also have a controlled acceleration and deceleration speed while it indexes. The stepper motor further drives a spur gear to improve the drive ratio from the stepper motor to the indexing arms. The rotary screen printer uses pneumatic cylinders to operate the screening arms. Pneumatic cylinders are controllable for the downward force by adjusting pressure regulator(s) and the stroke by adjusting either limit switches or mechanical stops. Each station is interchangeable to accommodate the printing requirements of each job. Each station can be operated as a screen printing station, a drying station, a pad printer, and the number of stations can be changed by reprogramming the number of steps between each station stop.
Adjusting device for lifting and lowering a workbench
An adjusting device for lifting and lowering a workbench is provided between a workbench and a workbench rest. An adjusting seat is firmly secured with the workbench rest and an adjusting wheel is screwed and locked on the adjusting seat. A screwing fastener is inserted through the underside of the workbench and the adjusting wheel, and an elastic member is provided between an upper flange of the screwing fastener and the topside of a fixed plate of the workbench. Thus, by the prestress of the elastic member pushing against the workbench, the workbench can be surely driven by screw rotation of the adjusting wheel and hence the adjusting wheel can easily drive the workbench to move up and down.
Tool exchanger apparatus of machine tool
In a tool exchanger apparatus of a machine tool including a turret which turns around an axis inclining with respect to a vertical direction and which conveys tools, forces applied to tool gripping portions are calculated from a resultant force of a centrifugal force, gravity and an inertial force applied to each of the tools, using a weight and a position of each of the tools and a turning speed and a turning acceleration of the turret for each of turning phases when the turret turns, and the turning speed and the turning acceleration of the turret are determined for each of the turning phases.
ROUTER INCLUDING CUTTING DEPTH LOCKING AND ADJUSTMENT MECHANISM
A router includes a motor unit, a base that receives the motor unit, a threaded shaft supported on one of the motor unit or the base, and a slide supported on the other of the motor unit and the base. The slide engages with the shaft in a first position of the slide in which micro-adjustments to a cutting depth are permitted. The slide disengages with the shaft in a second position of the slide in which macro-adjustments to the cutting depth are permitted. The router includes a lever movable to an unlocked position in which the lever disengages the slide from the shaft to permit macro-adjustments.
TABLE DRIVE, MACHINE TOOL, AND WORKPIECE MACHINING METHOD
A table drive includes a table apparatus which includes a table that is configured to support a workpiece, a support base that supports the table apparatus, a first motor configured to move the table apparatus relative to the support base, and a cooling apparatus configured to cool the first motor. The first motor includes a first portion in contact with the support base, and a second portion disposed at a position farther from the support base than the first portion. The cooling apparatus includes a fan configured to give momentum to air, a supply duct via which the air is configured to be supplied to the first portion of the first motor, and an exhaust duct via which the air is configured to be discharged from a periphery of the second portion of the first motor.
Portable woodworking spindle fluting jig and method of use
A spindle flute jig for woodworking is disclosed. The flute jig is freestanding and independent of woodworking lathes. The flute jig comprises a base, a carriage, an upper frame positioned substantially parallel to the base, a drive end, a pivot end, an adjustable plunge router stop, a fixed plunge router stop, a tool storage section, and a marking block.
