System and method for monitoring characteristics of a rotary table
A rotary table (10a) for a milling machine, comprising sensing means (30,32) configured to measure and/or calculate a clearance between two mating components of said rotary table (10a), and transmission means configured to transmit said measured/calculated clearance to a central processing unit. The mating components of the rotary table being a worm screw and a worm wheel.
Conveying accuracy related fault detectable integrated sheet body punching and grinding assembly
The present invention relates to a conveying accuracy related fault detectable integrated sheet body punching and grinding assembly, including frame, conveying trough seat and processing frame. The processing frame is provided with a punching device and a grinding device, the frame is provided with a feed motor and feed screw. The feed screw is sleeved with a movable feed block; the movable feed block is fixedly connected with a movable feed seat, and the movable feed seat is provided with a feed lift cylinder, the feed lift cylinder is provided with a feed lift block. The feed lift block is evenly disposed with feed blocks that are capable of passing through the feed conveying trough, and a vertically oriented beam emitter is disposed on the portion that the feed lift block corresponds with the grinding device. A beam receiver is embedded in the lower surface of the grinding component of the grinding device; the present invention provides a beam emitter capable of emitting a vertical beam on the feed block corresponding to the grinding device, matching with the beam receiver disposed under the grinding head of the grinding device, which may accurately detect the feeding position of the feed block, thereby improves the punching and grinding precision of sheet bodies.
IMPROVED TRANSFER MACHINE
A transfer machine comprising: includes a frame, a table which is supported on the frame and can rotate with respect to the frame about a main vertical axis, and work holding assemblies mounted on the table. Each work holding assembly has at least one collet assembly for retaining a workpiece being machined. The collet assembly is able to rotate with respect to the table about a vertical workpiece rotation axis.
The transfer machine includes at least one actuation motor in order to actuate rotationally the collet assembly and is provided with a driving shaft which can rotate about a respective driving axis.
At least one transmission assembly can be activated selectively and is configured to transmit motion from the driving shaft to the collet assembly.
At least one actuation motor is integral with the frame of the machine, with the respective driving shaft arranged horizontally.
Adjustable locking block assembly for a toothed gear and methods of using same
A block assembly for locking a toothed gear housed in a frame includes a body shaped to couple to a portion of the frame adjacent to the gear for translation in a first direction parallel to an axis of the gear, and a locking block coupled to the body that includes at least one locking tooth shaped complementary to at least one gear tooth of the gear. The block assembly further includes an adjustment mechanism operable, when the body is coupled to the frame, to move the locking block in a second direction that is substantially orthogonal the axis of the gear, such that at least one locking tooth is received between a circumferentially spaced pair of the gear teeth to prevent movement of the toothed gear.
Index apparatus for machining center
It is an object of the invention to provide a new push bar type of index apparatus which can hold and machine the work exactly while the machining center machines the work having a predetermined length even if the work is long. An index apparatus comprises first and second index tables 4a and 4b configured to hold a work 1. The apparatus comprises a push bar transmission mechanism configured to rotate the first index table 4a in response to the movement of the push bar 7. The work 1 and the second index table 4b are rotated by the rotation of the first index table 4a integrally so as to index the work 1.
Indexing tool
An indexing tool for positioning a workpiece, the tool comprising a block having sides, the sides defining a regular polygon. The block has a central opening, and a threaded hole extending at a right angle to the central opening and into and through one of the sides. The block also has a V notch in the block wall opposite the threaded hole, the threaded hole being adapted to have received therein a like threaded set screw.
Indexer for operating workpieces
A method and apparatus for changing pallets delivered to a machining center. Different workpieces are connected or attached to different pallets. A first workpiece corresponding to a first pallet is delivered to or near an indexer or indexer assembly and the indexer is moved into an engaged position and performs a work operation on the first workpiece. The indexer is then moved to a disengaged position and the first pallet and the first workpiece are exchanged or switched out with a second pallet having a second workpiece. The indexer is then moved to an engaged position and works the second workpiece and when completed, the indexer moves to the disengaged position and the second workpiece is exchanged or switched out with a third pallet having a third workpiece. The indexer system of this invention can quickly and cost-effectively cycle through different pallets and thus different workpieces.
TOOL ORIENTATION SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Systems and methods for tool orientation and/or position determining system are described herein. In one example, a plurality of tool sensors can be coupled to a tool. The tool sensors can provide data to a control module or system controller. The orientation and/or position of the tool can accordingly be determined from the data. If the orientation and/or position of the tool matches a desired orientation, the tool and/or control module can provide an indication that the tool is in the desired orientation.
ROTARY INDEXING TABLE WITH POWER-OPTIMIZED DRIVE
Disclosed is a rotary indexing table (10) having an output flange (12) which is suitable for receiving a workpiece, mounted on a housing (14) of said rotary indexing table (10) for rotation about an axis of rotation (A) and drivingly connected to at least one drive element (24) which engages a driving groove (22) in a cylindrical cam (20) which can be driven by a motor, the cylindrical cam (20) being disposed asymmetrically to the axis of rotation (A) of the output flange (12).
Rotating axis supporting device
A rotating axis supporting device of the present invention includes: a housing; a rotating axis rotatably pivoted to the housing; a case for fixing the housing; and an adjustment mechanism adjusting a position of the rotating axis by causing an attachment surface of the housing attached to the case to be perpendicular to an axial direction of the rotating axis, attaching the housing to move relative to the case in parallel to the attachment surface, and moving the housing and the case relative to each other in parallel to the attachment surface.
