MONITORING DEVICE AND MONITORING METHOD
Provided is a monitoring device and a monitoring method that can capture the condition of a coolant in detail. A monitoring device according to one embodiment includes: a first detection unit that detects a first physical quantity; a second detection unit that detects a second physical quantity; a ratio calculation unit that calculates the ratio between a first value obtained when the first physical quantity is expressed using a specified unit, and a second value obtained when the second physical quantity is expressed using a specified unit; and an inferring unit that, if the calculated ratio is above an upper limit value of a management range or below a lower limit value of the management range, infers that one among an oil and an electrolyte contained in the coolant is abnormal.
Foreign matter detection device which detects penetration of foreign matter into interior of electric motor arranged in machine tool
A foreign matter detection device includes an ion sensor arranged in the interior of a feed axis motor. The ion sensor is formed so as to detect an ion contained in a cutting liquid. A machine controller judges whether an ion concentration is within a judgment range related to the cutting liquid based on output of the ion sensor, and judges that the cutting liquid has penetrated into the interior of the feed axis motor when the ion concentration is within the judgment range related to the cutting liquid.
MACHINE TOOL
A machine tool includes a drive portion that moves a movable cover on a rail, cleaning means that removes a foreign object on the rail, and a body control unit that controls the drive portion so as to move the movable cover on the rail. The machine tool further includes detection means that detects a foreign object on the rail, and the body control unit is configured to control the cleaning means so as to remove a foreign object on the rail, and to control the drive portion so as to move the movable cover on the rail, if the detection means does not detect any foreign object on the rail, or if the detection means detects a foreign object on the rail and thereafter the cleaning means removes the foreign object on the rail.
MODULAR SELF-CONFIGURING INDUSTRIAL TABLE
A modular tabletop apparatus, typically used for workpiece storage and handling during robotic manipulation and feeding to a machine, is disclosed. Modules of the apparatus comprise detection interfaces disposed at locations corresponding to module edge locations and arranged in a periodic grid. Alignment of facing detection interfaces along common edges of pairs of adjacent modules permits module controllers to detect neighboring modules, and a main controller to compute the overall size and shape of the tabletop formed by the modules. Connecting arrangements are also disclosed. The connecting arrangements may be placed at the same grid locations as the detection interfaces, advantageously permitting alignment of detection interfaces for any interconnection configuration of modules. Modules may comprise plates with a grid of positioning indentations. The period of the positioning grid can be an integer multiple or integer fraction of that of the interface/connection grid.
Chuck mechanism and top jaw
An object of the present invention is to obtain information corresponding to information, which is readable by sight, but no longer visible. The present invention provides a chuck mechanism comprising: a chuck body including an installation surface and a side surface; and a master jaw provided on the installation surface of the chuck body and configured to move in a radial direction of the chuck body, wherein a first marking is provided on the installation surface of the chuck body, the first marking is product information of the chuck mechanism, the product information has a readable form by sight, and at least one second marking is provided on the installation surface or the side surface of the chuck body, the second marking is information including at least the product information of the first marking, and the information of the second marking has a coded form.
Method and device for determining and/or monitoring the state of a protective cover
A method for determining and/or monitoring the state of a protective cover, includes the steps of a) obtaining a first state value of at least one characteristic physical, mechanical and/or chemical property of the protective cover at a first point in time; and b) obtaining a second state value of the at least one characteristic property of the protective cover at a second point in time, which is to subsequent to the first point in time; and c) comparing the obtained state values; and d) determining the state of the protective cover based on the comparison performed in step c).
Minimum quantity lubrication tool priming method
A method of priming a minimum quantity lubrication (MQL) tool includes determining a category of the tool, supplying a short-prime MQL dosage if the tool is a first category or if both a second category and lubricated within a first predetermined timeframe, and supplying a long-prime MQL dosage if the tool is the second category and has not been lubricated within the predetermined timeframe. The category is based on internal passage complexity of the tool.
Systems and methods for asset management using a digital avatar
An asset management system that includes a field asset management system; a maintenance management system; and a digital avatar associated with a specific asset. The digital avatar has an automatic Model that is customized for the associated asset. The digital avatar automatically receives information from at least one of the field asset management system or maintenance management system as information associated with the asset is entered into the at least one of the field asset management system or maintenance management system. The automatic Model automatically runs with the new information and provides a new operating parameter for use by at least the field asset management system.
Machine tool
A machine tool for machining workpieces has a machine frame, at least one component part which can be moved along a movement path by means of a power-operated drive unit, at least one frame part, which is connected to the machine frame and which is arranged at an end position in the movement path of the component part, and at least a first stop, via which the component part in contact with the frame part when said component part is in the end position, wherein the first stop lies outside the movement path.
MATERIAL SUPPORT SYSTEMS, MATERIAL SUPPORT STRUCTURES, AND RELATED METHODS
A core support system includes a support structure. The support structure includes a frame and a support member having a saturatable engagement layer disposed over the frame. A method of machining a core material incudes applying a fluid to an engagement layer of a support structure and saturating the engagement layer with the fluid, disposing a core material on the engagement layer, causing the fluid to freeze to secure to the core material to the support structure, machining the core material, melting the frozen fluid to release the core material from the support structure, and removing the core material from the engagement layer.
