MACHINE TOOL
There is provided a machine tool for suppressing the adverse effect of run-out of the rear end of a spindle on the rotation detection accuracy when processing a workpiece within a processing area. The machine tool includes a rotation driver, the spindle that is rotated by the rotation driver, a rotational angle detector that is provided to face a part forming the spindle in order to detect a rotational angle of the spindle, and at least two bearings that support the spindle and are arranged on a side of the processing area with respect to the rotation driver. The rotational angle detector is arranged at a position on the side of the processing area with respect to the rotation driver, the position being on the side of the processing area with respect to the bearings, on a side of the rotation driver with respect to the bearings, or between the bearings.
TEMPERATURE ESTIMATION DEVICE AND TEMPERATURE ESTIMATION METHOD
In a temperature estimation method, a rotational speed of a spindle is acquired. Moreover, a temperature rise table and a temperature fall table are used to calculate a temperature of a bearing from the rotational speed of the spindle every time a fixed time elapses. The temperature rise table stores in an associated manner the rotational speed of the spindle and a temperature rise of the bearing due to rotation of the spindle in a predetermined fixed time. The temperature fall table stores in an associated manner the temperature of the bearing and a temperature fall of the bearing due to heat dissipation in the fixed time.

The processing system further includes a detecting unit that is provided for part or all of the functional units and detects any of vibration, current, voltage, load, speed, torque, pressure, temperature, flow rate, change in a taken image, and the thickness of the workpiece, and a data accumulating unit that accumulates information included in a signal output from the detecting unit as data.

A power tool including a motor configured to rotatably drive an output shaft, a variable motor speed control input, a motor speed limit input, and a motor controller. The motor controller includes an electronic processor and a memory configured to store instructions. When executed by the motor controller, the instructions configure the motor controller to detect a motor speed limit from a setting of the motor speed limit input, and detect a variable speed control setting from the variable motor speed control input. The motor controller generates a motor speed control signal for driving the motor based on the detected motor speed limit and the detected variable motor speed control setting, and transmits the motor speed control signal to a motor driver circuit configured to drive the motor at a speed based on the motor speed control signal.

A power tool including a motor configured to rotatably drive an output shaft, a variable motor speed control input, a motor speed limit input, and a motor controller. The motor controller includes an electronic processor and a memory configured to store instructions. When executed by the motor controller, the instructions configure the motor controller to detect a motor speed limit from a setting of the motor speed limit input, and detect a variable speed control setting from the variable motor speed control input. The motor controller generates a motor speed control signal for driving the motor based on the detected motor speed limit and the detected variable motor speed control setting, and transmits the motor speed control signal to a motor driver circuit configured to drive the motor at a speed based on the motor speed control signal.

A method for detecting whether a slip clutch release event has taken place in a power tool includes determining a first speed of a gear device by a first sensor, determining a second speed of a motor by a second sensor, and determining a current value by a third sensor. The method further includes determining a state of the power tool by using the first and second speeds and the current value, determining a state of the gear device in dependence on the current value by a control device, ascertaining a state of activity of the slip clutch in dependence on the first and second speeds by the control device, and ascertaining by the control device by a combination of the state of the gear device and the state of activity of the slip clutch whether the slip clutch release event has taken place.
