NUMERICAL CONTROLLER
A numerical controller performs control to rotate a turret, which holds a plurality of tools on the outer peripheral portion thereof, thereby moving one (selected tool) of the tools selected by a command to a predetermined position (selected position). The numerical controller sets and holds a partial area of the outer peripheral portion of the turret as an area (passage-prohibited area) prohibited from passing through the selected position and determines whether or not the selected tool is present in the passage-prohibited area or whether or not the passage-prohibited area passes through the selected position as the selected tool is moved to the selected position.
Dual-spindle machining apparatus
An apparatus for machining a workpiece has a housing having a vertical front wall and first and second side walls extending generally perpendicularly back from outer edges of the front wall, directed horizontally oppositely away from each other, and defining first and second planes themselves delimiting a space. First and second vertical guides on the first and second side walls outside the housing carry first and second vertical slides moveable vertically on the first and second vertical guides of the first and second side walls. First and second horizontal guides on the first and second vertical slides carry first and second horizontal slides movable horizontally on the first and second horizontal guides of the first and second vertical slides between the first and second front work stations and the first and second rear transfer stations.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CLEARING DEBRIS FROM A MACHINING SPINDLE
A machining system including a first body with a first channel to receive a first stream of compressed air, a second channel to receive a second stream of compressed air, an upper compartment, the first stream of compressed air configured to clear debris from an upper compartment surface and a lower compartment surface when the first stream of compressed air is engaged, the upper compartment configured to shift to a position where the upper compartment abuts the lower compartment and conceals the upper compartment surface and the lower compartment surface when the second stream of compressed air is engaged, and the lower compartment configured to shift when in contact with the upper compartment.
METHOD FOR BENDING AND MACHINING WORKPIECES ON A MACHINE TOOL, AND MACHINE TOOL FOR MACHINING AND BENDING WORKPIECES
A machine tool and method for optimizing the performance of when manufacturing a workpiece requiring machining and bending operations, wherein the machine tool includes a machine frame with at least one linear movable tool carrier slide configured to carry a working unit, at least one work spindle provided to receive a workpiece and a working unit mounted onto the tool carrier slide. The working unit is configured to be rotated around a B-axis and the working unit is moved linearly in a plane perpendicular to the B-axis and wherein the working unit is configured to bend the workpiece received by the work spindle.
Machine tool provided with tool post
A machine tool comprises a main spindle, a tool post body provided with a first tool mounting part and a second tool mounting part facing each other with a workpiece inbetween in a predetermined facing direction, and a tool post body driving unit for moving the tool post body in at least the facing direction. The tool post body comprises a first tool post unit provided with the first tool mounting part, a second tool post unit provided with a portion of the second tool mounting part with a relative interval with respect to the first tool post unit in the facing direction kept constant, a third tool post unit provided with the remaining portion of the second tool mounting part with a relative interval kept variable; and a relatively-driving unit for moving the third tool post unit in the facing direction with respect to the first tool post unit.
Machine tool
A machine tool includes a spindle equipped with a workpiece gripping portion arranged so as to face an operator side, the spindle being configured to rotatably drive a workpiece gripped by the workpiece gripping portion, and a tool mount equipped with a rotary member supporting a plurality of tools in a rotatably indexable manner about an axis parallel to an axis of the spindle. The tool mount is arranged at a tool mount installation portion formed to be positioned on the operator side in a manner such that the rotary member faces a workpiece gripping portion side.
MACHINE TOOL, IN PARTICULAR MULTI-SPINDLE MILLING MACHINE
The present invention relates to embodiments of a machine tool, in particular a multi-spindle milling machine, comprise a machine frame, a workpiece clamping device for clamping a workpiece, an axis slide assembly arranged on the machine frame, and a spindle carrier assembly which is arranged on the machine frame and has at least two tool-carrying work spindles. The axis slide assembly is configured to linearly move the workpiece clamped at the workpiece clamping device by way of three controllable linear axes X, Y and Z. The work spindles are arranged at a turret which can be rotated or swiveled about a turret axis at respectively equal distance from the turret axis, and the spindle axes of the work spindles are aligned or can be aligned in parallel to one another and in parallel to the turret axis.
NUMERICALLY CONTROLLED MACHINE TOOL COMPRISING A MULTI-SPINDLE TURRET AND TOOL GRIPPING DEVICE
