NUMERICAL CONTROLLER
A numerical controller performs control to rotate a turret, which holds a plurality of tools on the outer peripheral portion thereof, thereby moving one (selected tool) of the tools selected by a command to a predetermined position (selected position). The numerical controller sets and holds a partial area of the outer peripheral portion of the turret as an area (passage-prohibited area) prohibited from passing through the selected position and determines whether or not the selected tool is present in the passage-prohibited area or whether or not the passage-prohibited area passes through the selected position as the selected tool is moved to the selected position.
Lathe for machining a workpiece and related methods and toolholders
A lathe has a plurality of turret positions with at least one having a toolholder, a pair of blades projecting from one end of the toolholder with the toolholder structured to assume a first position with a first blade machining said workpiece which is rotating in a first direction and a second position with a second blade structured to assume a second position with the workpiece rotating in the other direction. The toolholder remains fixed during machining. Related methods and toolholders are disclosed.
Machine tool
A machine tool can perform a turning process using a fixed tool and a milling process using a rotating tool. The machine tool includes: a tool spindle having an air supply portion, for rotating the rotating tool; a lower tool rest for mounting a plurality of fixed tools thereon; a tool holder having a tapered surface restraining a tool, and attached to the lower tool rest, for detachably holding the tool; an automatic tool changer; and a special tool mounted on the tool spindle, into which the air is introduced from the air supply portion. When the tool is automatically changed by the automatic tool changer, the special tool mounted on the tool spindle is coupled to the tool holder, and the air from the air supply portion is supplied to the tapered surface through the special tool.
TOOL POST FOR MACHINE TOOL
A first driving force transmission part is disposed between an attachment part turning transmission shaft and a tool attachment part. The first driving force transmission part transmits rotary driving force from a side of the attachment part turning transmission shaft to the side of the first turning driving force transmission shaft, and includes a groove, a tenon shaped protrusion, and protrusions. The groove is formed on a tip of a slide shaft of the attachment part turning transmission shaft. The tenon shaped protrusion is formed in the first turning driving force transmission shaft and detachably engages with the groove. The protrusions once releases an engaging posture by pressing the groove that is biased to the engaging posture in an disengaging state when the tool is in the middle of the movement to a predetermined position.
Method for managing turret tools by using visual information for machine tool
The present disclosure relates to a method for managing turret tools for a machine tool, and more particularly, by setting tool information and changing a mounting location of the tool, which is to be mounted or has been mounted, by using visual information about a turret mounted in the machine tool and the tool mounted in the turret, a user may intuitively check information about a tool mounted on the turret and to easily set tool installation information which needs to be set when mounting and detaching the tool, changing a location of the tool, or installing the tool in a machine tool.
Cooled minimum quantity lubrication for machining
A system for dispensing lubricant in a stream of cool air to a work piece and a machine tool. A source of lubricant and cool air are coupled to a stationary coupler. A rotating turret includes a plurality of machine tools mounted thereon and the plurality of rotating couplers mounted thereon. Each machine tool is associated with or coupled to one of the rotating couplers. The turret rotates so that a rotating coupler is in abutting engagement with the stationary coupler. Lubricant and cool air pass through the stationary coupler to the rotating coupler, which delivers the lubricant and cool air to a nozzle that is directed at the machine tool associated with the rotating coupler.
Closed-loop metalworking system
A closed-loop machining system that includes a rotating spindle assembly having a body, a tool holder connected to the body, an ultrasonic machining module connected to the tool holder, and a power supply for powering the module; a processor for controlling the operation of the closed-loop machining system; a safety and compatibility bridge linking the ultrasonic machining module to the processor, wherein the safety and compatibility bridge further includes an electrical connection between the ultrasonic machining module and the processor; and at least one microprocessor located in or associated with the ultrasonic machining module for enabling and processing communication between the ultrasonic machining module and the processor.
High-pressure cutting fluid apparatus of turret head of machine tool
A high-pressure cutting fluid guide apparatus of a turret head of a machine tool is provided. When a high-pressure cutting fluid is input to a cutting liquid passage, the high-pressure cutting fluid flows along a through hole of a water guide cylinder, and passes through a main perforation of a partition, and then flows to a water outlet of a sealing ring to be guided into a water inlet of a cutting disc. A secondary perforation of the partition guides the high-pressure cutting fluid in the through hole to a press surface portion of the sealing ring. The sealing ring is located in an annular trough, and the press surface portion is pushed by the high-pressure cutting fluid pressure to generate the energy of the axial displacement.
TOOL POST COMPRISING A PLURALITY OF TOOL-HOLDER SPINDLES AND NUMERICALLY-CONTROLLED MACHINE TOOL INCLUDING SUCH A TOOL POST
A tool post including a body extending according to an axis A-A, the latter including, at one of its ends, a base for fastening to a numerically-controlled machine tool and, at the other end, a head movable in rotation, the head including at least two tool-holder spindles, each being intended to receive a cutting tool in engagement, the spindles occupying, depending on the angular position of the head, a working position in which they are intended to carry out a machining operation on a workpiece held in position in a fitting or a standby position in which they are withdrawn from the workpiece, each of the spindles being configured to be controlled independently of the other in order to immobilise or drive in rotation the cutting tool carried thereby, irrespective of the position it occupies.
TOOL ATTACHMENT PART, TOOL POST OF MACHINE TOOL EQUIPPED WITH TOOL ATTACHMENT PART, AND MACHINE TOOL
A tool attachment part includes an outer holder detachably fixed to a fixed part and an inner holder turnably and integrally supported by the outer holder. The inner holder is formed with a support part (insertion portion Tb) to support a rotatable tool. A drive-force transmission gear is integrally provided on the inner holder. The drive-force transmission gear is detachably engaged with a tool turning drive gear provided on a turret side. The tool turning drive gear is detachably attached to the turret by the fixed part and is engaged with the drive-force transmission gear such that the inner holder turns, and thereby the rotatable tool supported by the support part turns.
