ROD CUTTING DEBRIS COLLECTOR AND GUIDE

A debris collection device includes first and second members that are moveable relative to each other between first and second configurations. In the second configuration, the first and second members interface with each other and define a restraint opening that is configured to receive an elongate element, such as a spinal rod. The first and second members while in the second configuration define a guide opening that intersects the restraint opening. Such guide opening is configured to receive a cutting tool, such as a conical burr, drill bit, mill or saw. The first and second members have walls that, when in the second configuration, collectively define an interior space that has a volume sufficient to collect debris created by cutting the elongate element through the guide opening. Methods of utilizing the debris collection device allow for cutting of a spinal rod or the like in situ while capture debris caused by the cutting procedure.

Automated Compound Retrieval and Delivery of Lumber
20170217022 · 2017-08-03 ·

An automated lumber handling method for transferring various size boards from multiples board storage stations to a common board-receiving area uses a trolley that carries at least two board pickers that can operate independently. The method provides several operating modes. In a first mode, a first board picker retrieves single boards from various stations, while a second board picker is inactive. In a second mode, two board pickers retrieve two individual boards from a single station. In a third mode, one board picker retrieves one size board from a first station, and s second board picker retrieves a different size board from a second station. The two different boards can be released simultaneously at the board-receiving area. In some examples, the lumber at each station is laser scanned to determine the number of boards at each station, and a worker is notified if a station needs to be restocked.

A computer numerical control (CNC) machining apparatus and method are disclosed which comprise: a first base; a second base vertically perpendicular to the first base; a tool head support assembly having a tool head, connected to and move a tool head in an omni-directional; and a plurality of rotatable clamps configured to independently hold, release, and move a workpiece along the first base and independently rotate a workpiece 360° around itself.

A METHOD OF PROCESSING PROFILES IN A PROFILE PROCESSING ASSEMBLY AND A PROFILE INFEED ASSEMBLY FOR TRANSPORTING PROFILES TOWARDS A WORKING MACHINE
20220168859 · 2022-06-02 · ·

A method of processing profiles in a profile processing assembly includes a working machine and a profile infeed assembly. The profile infeed assembly includes an infeed cross transport assembly, and an infeed conveyor assembly with an infeed conveyor and a measuring truck. The infeed conveyor has a first end remote from the working machine. The infeed cross transport assembly supplies individual profiles to the infeed conveyor assembly. The infeed conveyor assembly supplies individual profiles to the working machine by means of a measuring truck which engages a profile and moves the profile over the infeed conveyor to the working machine. The method includes determining the longitudinal position of a first end of a profile that is facing away from the working machine and moving the measuring truck to an optimal rest position which is closest to the first end of the profile to be fed onto the infeed conveyor.

MACHINING CENTER EQUIPPED WITH DEVICE FOR MOUNTING ON A CLAMP PARTS OR PROFILES TO BE WORKED
20220152764 · 2022-05-19 · ·

A machining center equipped with a device for mounting on a clamp parts to be worked or which have been worked, such as profiles, which has a supporting frame for supporting a turntable with two or more stepped positions or placements or workstations, an loading basket and an unloading basket.

The machining center comprises a robot configured to remove or to associate, with each one of said two or more stepped positions or placements or workstations, the parts or the profiles to be worked and which have been worked at a plurality of fixed RPS or reference points and mobile mechanical components, according to a single positioning that is adapted to allow access by machining devices to any zone in the space of the profiles to be worked by modifying only the condition that the two or more stepped positions or placements or workstations are in.

Jig and method for making reinforcement cage

The present disclosure relates to a jig for manufacturing a reinforcement cage, which comprises a base member, a plurality of rollers disposed on the base member and spaced at intervals, a trolley which is movable on the base member; a driving device for driving the trolley; and a member for positioning the main reinforcement disposed at the first end of the base member.
