Agricultural Implement for Field-Collection, Pulverization and Field-Dispersement of Flax or Hemp Straw
An agricultural implement for collecting, pulverizing and dispersing straw that has been windrowed during a harvesting operation. A frame carries a pickup mechanism at a front end thereof, and first and second straw-processing stages therebehind, and each featuring a rotor and accompanying concave having static teeth fixed thereon. The first rotor likewise has fixed teeth, and the second rotor has flailing knives, whereby the straw is gradually broken down in the two sequential stages before discharge back into the field.
IMAGE-BASED ROLL GAP OPTIMIZATION FOR ROLLER CONDITIONER SYSTEMS
A roll gap optimization process is performed in conjunction with a roller conditioner system containing conditioner rolls. In embodiments, the process includes receiving, at a processor architecture, pre-conditioned crop images of a forage crop captured at a visually-sampled field location prior to intake of the forage crop into the roller conditioner system. The pre-conditioned crop images are analyzed to estimate an average stem dimension of the forage crop, and a roll gap width target is determined as a function of the average stem dimension. The processor architecture further performs one or more of: (i) automatically adjusting a width of the roll gap to substantially match the roll gap width target utilizing a roller adjustment mechanism included in the roller conditioner system, and (ii) displaying the roll gap width target on a display device contained in or otherwise coupled to the processor architecture for operator viewing.
Harvesting Machine having a Flail Cutter and a Moisture Removal Mechanism
A harvesting machine is disclosed along with a method of operation. The harvesting machine includes a frame having a flail cutter mounted on a first end of the frame. The flail cutter can cut the stems of growing plants. A housing surrounding a portion of the flail cutter for directing the cut plants rearward. An idler roller is positioned rearward of the flail cutter. First and second moisture removal mechanisms are positioned downstream of the cutting mechanism, and each includes a suction roll and a press roll. A moving belt forms a closed loop around the idler roller and the pair of suction and press rolls, and has a plurality of apertures formed therethrough. The moving belt forms first and second nips between each pair of suction and press rolls for squeezing moisture out of the cut stems as the stems are routed therebetween.

Cracker roller disc
A cracker roller disc has a first portion radially outward of the centre of substantially constant thickness, and a second portion radially outward of the first portion which second portion tapers towards the periphery of the disc. A plurality of upstanding ridges extending radially outward across the second portion on opposed faces of the disc are machined to define respective conical surfaces forming radially extending edges on opposed faces of the disc. The disc is provided with one or more circular or spiral grooves which cut across the edges in a substantially perpendicular direction to the edges. The grooves extend the effective length of each edge.

AGRICULTURAL DEVICE WITH A CUTTER BAR AND A REMOVABLE COLLECTING DEVICE AND AGRICULTURAL MACHINE COMPRISING SUCH A DEVICE
The present invention relates to the general technical field of agricultural machinery. It concerns an agricultural device, in particular a haymaking device, which can be moved in a direction of advance and which includes a cutter bar equipped with cutting elements intended to cut a standing crop product. The device also comprises a conditioner positioned behind the bar, and a grouping device intended to move the product transversely to the direction of advance and located behind the bar, in an active position. A retraction actuator is configured to transpose the grouping device between the active position and a passive position in which the product is deposited at the rear of the device. A collecting device extends partially under and partially behind the conditioner in active position of the grouping device. The invention also concerns an agricultural machine equipped with such a device and a method for access between a conditioner and a grouping device belonging to such a device.
