SYSTEMS AND METHODS TO PROMOTE TISSUE HEALTH VIA ELECTRICAL STIMULATION
Electrical stimulation systems and methods for preventing and treating pressure ulcers is provided. The system includes a washable sheet with one or more conductive signal pathways and integral or removable electrodes and a connectable controller that cooperates with the sheet and electrodes to provide periodic electrical stimulation to a patient's skin. Various sensors may provide feedback and optional closed-loop control. The electrical stimulation patterns may help maintain tissue health, prevent development or worsening of pressure ulcers, or manage pain.
Pillow with audible and vibratory alarms
The pillow with audible and vibratory alarms is a pillow that includes a vibrating member integrated therein. The vibrating member is able to generate a vibratory alarm to awaken an end user. The pillow also includes a scent distribution system that is able to dispense a scent from a side of the pillow, which the end user is able to smell, and may be optionally used as a scent alarm. The pillow includes a speaker that is able to emit an audible alarm, which is optionally used to awaken the end user. The vibrating member, the speaker, and the scent distribution system are all collectively in wired connection with a control module. In use, the end user utilizes the pillow in a traditional manner, but is optionally awaken via an audible alarm, a vibratory alarm, and/or a scent alarm.
Aromatherapy apparatus and housing
The present invention is an apparatus for employing aromatherapy, binaural sounds, music, vibration, and visual effects for altering a user's emotional state. The apparatus comprises a shape memory foam pillow, a pair of stereo speakers, an aromatherapy diffuser, a pillowcase comprised of heat-transfer fabric, a vibrating device, a strobe light, a canopy, and a housing to integrate and support these elements. The user connects a smartphone or other portable digital audio device to the speakers, activates the aromatherapy diffuser, strobe light, and vibrating device, independently or in combination, and then lays his head down on the pillow beneath the open canopy. Ideally, the smartphone or audio device should have a meditation or binaural sound application, which would be tuned to a specific beat frequency, e.g. 10 Hertz. The combined action of essential oil vapors, binaural sounds or music, vibration, and strobe light should alter the user's emotional state towards relaxation, sleepiness, or increased alertness, depending on the essential oils, sounds, and light patterns employed.
Blanket
A blanket sleep aid is disclosed consisting of two fabric sheets quilted together by a pattern of stitching to form a quilted blanket having plurality of closed pockets extending contiguously from the sides and ends of the blanket. The pockets enclosing a quantity of beads with a total cumulative total weight of between 10 to 12 percent of the body weight of the user. The beads are equally dispersed among the pockets such that each pocket has an equal weight of beads. An envelope formed on a first end of the blanket, the envelope having a an internal space, an opening for accessing the internal space, a flap for closing off the opening and a closure for holding the flap in a closed position, and aromatherapy satchel configured to fit within the envelope, the aromatherapy satchel consisting of a porous flexible sheet imbued with aromatherapy oil.
MAGNETIC MOXIBUSTION PILLOW
The present invention teaches a negative magnetic field magnetic moxibustion pillow which includes a pillow noumenon and multiple magnets set inside the described pillow noumenon. The described multiple magnets are set on the substrate based on a preset spacing; one end of the described magnets is a positive pole, and the other end is a negative pole. Moreover, the negative pole of the magnets all face the top surface of the pillow noumenon while the negative magnetic field magnetic moxibustion pillow of this present invention can produce a relatively strong magnetic field for the user.
Disposable and scented pad
A scented and disposable pad having a plurality of layers including a first layer composed of an absorbent material, a second layer that is a gel layer, and a third layer that is a waterproof layer. The gel layer can be embedded with a fragrance in order to provide a pleasing scent to the user. The pad can be placed underneath one's sheet in between the sheet and the mattress of the user. Alternatively, the pad can be placed between a pillow case and a pillow to provide a soothing scent for relaxation and sleep while laying down. At least one layer is embedded with scented micro beads, wherein the scent can include vanilla, lavender, and other scents to promote sleep and relaxation.
Cannabidiol infused foam element or surface
A method of making a cannabidiol infused foam element is disclosed wherein the cannabidiol infused foam element comprises cannabidiol and foam, wherein the foam comprises polyurethane foam, viscoelastic foam, latex foam, or combinations thereof, wherein the cannabidiol infused foam element has a plurality of layers of foam material, and wherein the foam material also comprises the cannabidiol (e.g., in the form of an oil, a powder, or combinations thereof).
Infection control filter label
An infection control filter label includes a frame and a filter membrane that covers a window through the frame. The frame may be removably secured to a cover for an item, such as a cushion (e.g., a pillow, a positioner, a mattress topper, a mattress, a seat cushion, etc.), bedding (e.g., a duvet, etc.), or the like to provide a sealed cover for the item. The sealed cover may be impermeable, with the infection control filter label limiting the passage of dust and microorganisms (e.g., fungi, bacteria, mold spores, etc.) from passing therethrough. Thus, the sealed cover may protect its contents from external factors (e.g., sick individuals, etc.) while protecting the environment outside the sealed cover from the contents of the sealed cover. Information about the item may be provided on the frame; for example, by printing, writing, or the like.
THERAPEUTIC MATTRESS SYSTEM AND COVERINGS
A sheet for use with a therapeutic mattress having at least one airway aperture through a mattress body. The sheet comprises a sheet body sized to cover an upper surface and side walls of the mattress body, and a periphery retention feature comprising at least one of an elastic band, corner pockets, straps, ties, or a zipper. One or more functional openings are disposed in the sheet body and positionable to overlie corresponding apertures when the fitted sheet is installed on the mattress body. The functional opening is configured to preserve an airway through the corresponding aperture during face-down use. Registration of the functional opening over the corresponding aperture is maintained by a peripheral retention structure surrounding the functional opening or tension of the sheet body when installed.
