GLASS BUBBLES AND LOW DENSITY SHEET MOLDING COMPOUND INCORPORATING SAID GLASS BUBBLES
A glass bubble includes a hollow glass body having an outer surface with a diameter of between about 16 micrometers and about 25 micrometers and a surface roughness of about 0.01% to about 0.1% of that diameter. A low density sheet molding compound incorporating a plurality of glass bubbles and resin is also disclosed.
GAS-FILLED VESSEL FILLED WITH FLUORINATED HYDROCARBON COMPOUND
The present invention is a fluorohydrocarbon compound-filled gas container obtained by filling a gas container with a fluorohydrocarbon compound, the gas container being made of manganese steel, an amount of aluminum adhering to an inner surface of the gas container as measured by XPS analysis being 1 mol % or less, and the fluorohydrocarbon compound being a compound represented by C.sub.4H.sub.9F or C.sub.5H.sub.11F. The present invention provides a fluorohydrocarbon compound-filled gas container that is obtained by filling a gas container with a fluorohydrocarbon compound represented by C.sub.4H.sub.9F or C.sub.5H.sub.11F, and suppresses or reduces a decrease in the purity of the fluorohydrocarbon compound with which the gas container is filled.

Masking tool system and method
A masking tool system includes a first masking body and a second masking body. The first masking body includes a bore passing through a portion of the first masking body and a first sealing element disposed on a first end of the first masking body. The second masking body includes a bore passing through the second masking body and a second sealing element disposed on a first end of the second masking body. The system may also include a rod configured to pass through the bores of the first and second masking bodies and to secure the first and second masking bodies to a metallic article placed therebetween. A diagonal length of the masking tool system induces a wobbling rotation during processing.
Centrifugal barrel polishing device and barrel polishing method
A centrifugal barrel includes a disc-like turret configured to turn about a revolution shaft, a plurality of barrel tanks each installed in the turret via a rotation shaft and configured to turn about the rotation shaft, a rotating mechanism configured to turn the turret and the barrel tanks, and a tilting mechanism configured to tilt the revolution shaft of the turret with respect to a horizontal plane and to tilt each rotation shaft with respect to the horizontal plane. By tilting each rotation shaft with respect to the horizontal plane, it is possible to prevent the workpieces from being damaged.
Drag finishing system, method and fixture for gas turbine engine airfoils
A system, fixture and method for media finishing a cluster of airfoils are provided. The fixture may include a base having a first end and a second end, a receptacle disposed on the base and configured to receive the stator cluster, and at least one mock airfoil disposed at each of the first and second ends of the base in alignment with the airfoils of the cluster.
SEAMLESS FLOWING TYPE FINISHING MACHINE
The invention discloses a seamless flowing type finishing machine, comprising a supporting frame; the supporting frame is provided with a lower container, an upper container and a tray; the tray is movably connected with the lower container. A plurality of bolts is arranged between the lower container and the upper container for connection; springs are arranged at the connections of the bolts. The upper edge of the tray extends to the lower edge of the upper container; with the elastic force of the springs, the lower edge of the upper container clings to the upper edge of the tray so as to form a seamless connecting structure; a water outlet is arranged on the tray. A water-filling nozzle is arranged on the sidewall of the lower container. The seamless flowing type finishing machine disclosed by the invention can be used for processing of various ultra-small parts.
