A product and process for reducing discomfort due to heat and moisture evolved during a period of contact between living skin and a cushioning material, using a thermally conductive cushioning device, having a first layer of a moisture management fabric, a second layer of a thermally conductive web, and a third layer of a thermally insulative cushioning material.

A combination pillow and sleeping bag is described. The combination pillow and sleeping bag is configurable between a first configuration and a second configuration. The combination pillow and sleeping bag includes a first pillow portion and a second pillow portion detachably coupled to the first pillow portion. The second pillow portion defines a cavity. The combination pillow and sleeping bag also includes a sleeping bag having a first end coupled to the first pillow portion and a second end coupled to the second pillow portion. When in the first configuration, the first and second pillow portions are coupled together and the sleeping bag is positioned within the cavity of the second pillow portion. When in the second configuration, the first and second pillow portions are detached from one another and spaced apart such that the sleeping bag extends between the first and second pillow portions.

A combination pillow and sleeping bag is described. The combination pillow and sleeping bag is configurable between a first configuration and a second configuration. The combination pillow and sleeping bag includes a first pillow portion and a second pillow portion detachably coupled to the first pillow portion. The second pillow portion defines a cavity. The combination pillow and sleeping bag also includes a sleeping bag having a first end coupled to the first pillow portion and a second end coupled to the second pillow portion. When in the first configuration, the first and second pillow portions are coupled together and the sleeping bag is positioned within the cavity of the second pillow portion. When in the second configuration, the first and second pillow portions are detached from one another and spaced apart such that the sleeping bag extends between the first and second pillow portions.

The present invention is a blanket for newborns and infants that includes an outer cover, a first bumper, a second bumper, and a third bumper. The outer cover has a top sheet and a bottom sheet. The top sheet is sewn to the bottom sheet. The first bumper, the second bumper, and the third bumper have a plurality of panels joined to form a tubular bag sized to house an amount of a filler material therein. The filler material is charged into the tubular bag. The tubular bag is securely closed after the tubular bag is filled with the filler material such that the filler material remains within the tubular bag during use. The first bumper and the second bumper are secured respectively to two opposite sides of the outer cover. The first bumper and the second bumper are in spaced parallel relationship so as to provide a centrally disposed confinement area on the outer cover. The third bumper positioned between the first bumper and the second bumper is secured to the outer cover.

Infant swaddling allows an infant to be comfortably and easily swaddled. The swaddling includes a pouch featuring a lower end that can be opened and closed to allow an infant's soiled diaper to be easily removed and replaced or to take a rectal temperature. The swaddling can include a blanket that comprises a first blanket flap and a second blanket flap and that can be removably attached to the pouch. The swaddle is used by placing one of the blanket flaps over the pouch, and then placing the other blanket flap over the pouch.

Infant swaddling allows an infant to be comfortably and easily swaddled. The swaddling includes a pouch featuring a lower end that can be opened and closed to allow an infant's soiled diaper to be easily removed and replaced or to take a rectal temperature. A sleeping bag includes a top cover and bottom sheet. The bottom sheet can be secured to a sleeping pad and includes a sheet portion and lateral flaps connected to the sheet portion along opposite lateral edges of the sleeping pad when the bottom sheet is secured thereto. The top cover and lateral flaps enable attachment, detachment, and reattachment of the lateral flaps along their lateral edges to a top cover outer surface along corresponding attachment paths displaced medially from top cover lateral edges, enabling a top cover headward portion to assume wrapped and expanded configurations, and enabling conversion between those configurations. When wrapped, headward portions of the top cover outer surface, that are lateral of the attachment paths, are positioned against the sheet portion; when expanded, the lateral flaps and lateral portions of the top cover extend upward or laterally away from the sleeping pad lateral edges.

A sleeping bag includes a top cover and bottom sheet. The bottom sheet can be secured to a sleeping pad and includes a sheet portion and lateral flaps connected to the sheet portion along opposite lateral edges of the sleeping pad when the bottom sheet is secured thereto. The top cover and lateral flaps enable attachment, detachment, and reattachment of the lateral flaps along their lateral edges to a top cover outer surface along corresponding attachment paths displaced medially from top cover lateral edges, enabling a top cover headward portion to assume wrapped and expanded configurations, and enabling conversion between those configurations. When wrapped, headward portions of the top cover outer surface, that are lateral of the attachment paths, are positioned against the sheet portion; when expanded, the lateral flaps and lateral portions of the top cover extend upward or laterally away from the sleeping pad lateral edges.

An all-inclusive electrical heating liner for use in the fabrication of articles of apparel is disclosed. It is comprised of a thermally insulating fabric piece which is shaped to define a dorsal panel and a pair of frontal panels to which are secured patterns of heating wires at specific locations. The spaced relationship between the dorsal panel and the pair of frontal panels is adjustable whereby the liner can be incorporated in articles of apparel of different sizes including small. Medium, large and X-large apparel sizes and gender types. The liner incorporates a power supply, controls, switches, wiring, connectors and other components thereby facilitating the incorporation of the liner into an article of apparel resulting in a cost reduction to the manufacturer of heated articles of apparel. Various embodiments are described to show that the all-inclusive one-piece heating liner is adaptable to many articles which require control heating.

An outdoor item such as a sleeping bag, jacket, hat or blanket with one or more ventilation/temperature adjustment openings. Each ventilation/temperature adjustment opening includes, in one embodiment, a mechanism that serves to either form an opening in one or both of the outer layer, and the inner layer of the outdoor item. In another embodiment, the one or more ventilation/temperature adjustment mechanism includes an air bladder which, when inflated, serves to push aside any insulation adjacent the deflated air bladder while in both embodiments, allowing the outdoor item to vent better, thereby cooling an occupant using or wearing the outdoor item thereby offering temperature regulation.
