POROUS METALLIC MATERIAL
20230405680 · 2023-12-21 · ·

A method for producing a product comprising a porous metallic material and a product comprising a porous metallic material. Said method comprises the steps of: building the porous metallic material of the product by additive manufacturing; and polishing at least a part of a surface of said porous metallic material of said product by vibration polishing.

MULTI-LAYERED IMPLANT

A multi-layered implant and methods of forming the multi-layered implant are disclosed. The multi-layered implant includes a Metal Injection Molded body comprising a titanium alloy, a porous coating layer on a first surface of the Metal Injection Molded body, and a zirconium alloy layer on a second surface of the Metal Injection Molded body. The first surface and the second surface are on opposite sides of the Metal Injection Molded body. A zirconia layer may be formed over the zirconium alloy layer. The porous coating may be a titanium-based porous coating.

Medium and method of manufacturing electronic component

A medium is accommodated in a container together with an electronic component body including an underlying electrode layer. The medium treats a surface of the underlying electrode layer while vibration is applied to the container. The medium is spherical or substantially spherical. The medium has a diameter not smaller than about 0.2 mm and not greater than about 2.0 mm. The medium contains tungsten.

DEVICES FOR SURFACE FINISHING OF PARTS
20210205947 · 2021-07-08 ·

A device (1) for surface finishing of parts comprising an annular container (2) configured to receive a plurality of working media and at least a part to be treated, the container (2) has a central axis (A) and a bottom surface (3); vibratory means (4) associated (2) with the container (2) to make it oscillate and configured to cause the part to circulate inside the container; the bottom surface (3) has a plurality of projections (5) configured to change the spatial orientation of the part as it moves thereon.

MASKING TOOL SYSTEM AND METHOD

A masking tool system includes a first masking body and a second masking body. The first masking body includes a bore passing through a portion of the first masking body and a first sealing element disposed on a first end of the first masking body. The second masking body includes a bore passing through the second masking body and a second sealing element disposed on a first end of the second masking body. The system may also include a rod configured to pass through the bores of the first and second masking bodies and to secure the first and second masking bodies to a metallic article placed therebetween. A diagonal length of the masking tool system induces a wobbling rotation during processing.

Rock tumbling method and apparatus

After three or four abrasive rock tumbling steps with successively finer and finer adhesive, the rocks are tumbled with pieces of an elastomer, for example plastic foam. The plastic foam may be pulyurethane foam. The result is a higher polish than could be achieved by prior abrasive and finishing approaches.
