Burnishing tool and method of manufacturing the same
A burnishing tool and a method of additively manufacturing components of the burnishing tool are provided. The burnishing tool includes a burnishing element for burnishing a workpiece. The burnishing element is positioned between an upper nozzle and a lower nozzle which are additively manufactured to define a plurality of internal fluid passageways for receiving, distributing, and discharging a burnishing fluid to facilitate cooling and/or lubrication of the burnishing element and/or the workpiece.

BURNISHING MACHINE
A burnishing machine is provided in which both sides of a groove is machined by a single tool without changing the movement direction of a piston.
The burnishing machine, includes: a tip configured to press and process a process face; and a pressurizing unit configured to press the tip against the process face, the pressurizing unit including, a piston configured to reciprocate in a direction orthogonal to the tip, a cylinder portion that accommodates the piston such that the piston reciprocates; and a pressurizing mechanism configured to urge the tip to the process face at both timing of pushing the tip against the process face and pulling the tip against the process face by making the piston reciprocate.

Screw Thread Roller Burnishing Apparatus
Internal and external screw thread burnishing assemblies are provided. In the internal screw thread burnishing assembly, diametrically opposed removable cartridges carrying burnishing wheels are received in cavities of a support structure axially movable into the space circumscribed by the internal screw thread. Fluid pressure is utilized to forcibly translate the cartridges radially outwardly to place their burnishing wheels into burnishing engagement with the internal screw thread, with a spring structure resiliently biasing the cartridges toward retracted orientations thereof within the support structure. In the external screw thread burnishing assembly, burnishing wheels are carried on the outer ends of pivotally supported arms which may be pivoted by fluid pressure to drive the burnishing wheels into burnishing engagement with diametrically opposite portions of the external screw thread, with a spring structure resiliently biasing the arms pivotally away from one another.
Hard-rolling roller head for the deep rolling of the crankpins of a split-pin crankshaft
The invention discloses a hard-rolling roller head with two separate housings for deep rolling the outside radii of adjoining crankpins of a split-pin crankshaft. The hard-rolling roller head provides an effective support of the two housings against one another, when machining split-pin crankshafts, and simultaneously prevents the upper areas of these housings from drifting apart.

LASER-HARDENED FILLET-ROLLED CRANKSHAFT
An automotive shaft fillet treating method including laser hardening a green machined fillet surface to a uniform depth d to induce compressive stresses into the surface, the surface extending the entire length l between outer edges of two undercut regions of the fillet, and applying additional compressive stress to the laser hardened surface via fillet rolling such that the uniform depth d is maintained along the entire length l during a subsequent grinding operation.
