Device for Chilling Wine
A carafe containing a heat sink that a liquid such as wine may be poured into is disclosed. The heat sink absorbs the thermal energy of the wine, thereby rapidly cooling it. The heat sink is comprised of a series of fins or energy absorbing masses with a surface area of about 30-40 square inches for every 100 ml of liquid contained in the carafe. The heat sink may comprise a single structure or a plurality of structures operating in unison. The operation of said heat sink may be supplemented by a secondary heat sink comprised of the carafe itself. The invention will chill wine that is poured into it at room temperature by about 15-20 F degrees in approximately 1 minute.
Performance of a beverage dispenser
The invention discloses a method of filling beverage into a beverage vessel, comprising the following steps: selecting at least one beverage by a program running on a personal electronic device having a personal electronic device processor by a user, wherein the at least one beverage is represented by at least one beverage parameter set and wherein the at least one beverage parameter set is stored in beverage data; positioning the beverage vessel in the proximity of the personal electronic device by the user; emitting an RF field by an antenna of the personal electronic device; transmitting the beverage data from an the antenna of the personal electronic device in a radio message to an antenna of the beverage vessel by near field communication controlled by the personal electronic device processor after presence of the beverage vessel in the proximity of the personal electronic device has been detected by the personal electronic device by near field communication; extracting electric energy from the RF field by the vessel antenna; storing the beverage data in a memory of the beverage vessel controlled by a vessel processor after receiving the beverage data by the antenna of the beverage vessel; positioning the beverage vessel in the proximity of a beverage dispenser by a user; transmitting a RF field from an antenna of the beverage dispenser; after detecting the beverage vessel in the proximity of the beverage dispenser by near field communication, transmitting by near field communication under control of a dispenser controller by the beverage dispenser a request command from an the antenna of the beverage dispenser to the antenna of the beverage vessel requesting to transmit beverage data in a radio message; extracting electric energy from the RF field by the vessel antenna; in response to receiving the request command by the beverage vessel, reading the beverage data from the memory of the beverage vessel and transmitting the beverage data by the antenna of the beverage vessel to the antenna of the beverage dispenser by near field communication under control of the vessel processor; and in response to receiving the beverage data by the antenna of the beverage dispenser outputting one of the at least one beverage defined by the beverage parameter set in the beverage data into the beverage vessel under control of the dispenser controller, wherein the portable beverage vessel comprises a container comprising a bottom portion forming the lower end of the container and a wall extending from the bottom portion in an essentially vertical direction; a magnetic coupling element arranged at the container; and a control device having a complementary magnetic coupli
Thermal liquid container system with heat loss prevention lid
A heat loss protection lid for a thermal liquid container system, wherein the heat loss protection lid comprises a central body, a liquid ingress opening formed within the central body, a liquid dispensing opening formed within one of a peripheral edge of the central body or a lip formed around the peripheral edge of the central body. and a concealed air intake hole.
Fluid insulation assembly
A fluid insulation assembly for use with a container that is configured to contain a fluid includes a barrier assembly configured to fluidly isolate a first fluid chamber within an interior of a container, wherein the first fluid chamber is configured to contain a fluid, and an actuation assembly configured to dispense fluid contained within the first fluid chamber. A method for insulating a fluid within a container and dispensing the fluid from the container includes fluidly isolating a first fluid chamber within an interior of a container and moving a barrier assembly disposed within the interior of the container in a first direction for dispensing fluid contained within the first fluid chamber.
FROTHING CONTAINER AND METHOD OF CREATING A FROTHED BEVERAGE
A container for frothing a beverage or component of a beverage, comprising a side wall and a base which define an inner volume, and an opening for filling said inner volume with said beverage or component, characterised in that an interior surface of said base and/or side wall comprises at least a primary protrusion and/or a primary depression, connected thereto and/or formed therein.
COLLAPSIBLE, FLOW-RESTRICTED, CONTROLLED-POUR PITCHER FOR BREWING COFFEE
A collapsible hot liquid pitcher with an adjustable flow restrictor is disclosed that provides an easily controlled pour of hot water from the spout at the end of the pitcher's neck. The pitcher can be made of a rubbery material so that it can be compressed into a small shape for traveling. An insulating layer on the pitcher prevents the hot liquid from burning the user's hand during pouring. An adjustable flow restrictor gate with different sized flow sluices is provided in the pitcher's neck so that the amount of hot water admitted through the flow restrictor gate into the neck can be changed. The restrictor gate can be removed to change the desired flow. The orientation of the restrictor gate, the shape of the pitcher's neck and spout, and the shape and angle of the spout's face work to produce a controlled flow of hot water that pours downwardly in a steady, vertical stream for brewing.
