DRY WET BLAST MEDIA BLASTING SYSTEM
A wet media blasting system with a water injection system that provides more uniform distribution of the water, air and media components for achieving better application of the mixture while minimizing the amount of water required to contain and minimize or eliminate airborne particulate matter such as dust produced during the blasting operation. By more thoroughly mixing the water into the abrasive/water mix, the amount of water required is reduced. The abrasive feed is placed and shaped to optimize spray coverage and minimize abrasive flow into injection space thus mitigating water nozzle clogs. The abrasive flow is shaped as it is released from the metering valve in order to tighten the abrasive flow before it enters into the blast air stream. The shaped and tightened abrasive flow is maintained at the lower portion of the blast air stream. This positions the abrasive flow in optimum placement for spray wetting the abrasive as it flows into and through the nozzle. This also mitigates nozzle clogging by directing most of the abrasive flow away from the water spray nozzle port.
HIGH PRESSURE WATER JET CUTTING APPARATUS
A high pressure water jet cutting apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a cutting head body having a first end configured to connect to a water line, a second end configured to connect to a nozzle, and a passageway therethrough. One or more sensors is associated with the cutting head body, and an electrical connector is coupled to the sensor. The electrical connector is configured to transmit data from the sensor to detect the occurrence of an event.
Nozzle system, powder blasting device and method for using a nozzle system
Nozzle system for a powder blasting device including a first nozzle element for transporting a powder-gas mixture stream along a transporting direction and a second nozzle element, where the second nozzle element surrounds the first nozzle element such that at least one channel is formed between the first nozzle element and the second nozzle element, where the channel is provided for transporting a liquid stream, where the first nozzle element and the second nozzle element are arranged such that in operation the powder-gas-mixture stream ejected by the first nozzle element is encased by the liquid stream ejected by the channel for forming an output stream of the nozzle system, where the first nozzle element has an acceleration part having a first cross section and a spreading part having a second cross section, where the spreading part is arranged downstream of the acceleration part.
Method and Apparatus for Cleaning a Heat Exchanger or Water System
A cleaning system comprising: (a) one or more pumps; (b) one or more foamers; and (c) one or more cleaning reservoirs including one or more cleaning solutions; wherein the one or more foamers combine a fluid and the cleaning solution to form a foamed solution so that the solution is introduced into a system to be cleaned.
Vapor blast system with fixed pot pressure
A vapor abrasive blast system includes a pump for pumping a water stream to a pressure vessel for pressurizing the pressure vessel to a pot pressure. A water regulator is disposed to regulate the water stream to a fixed water pressure, such that the water stream entering the pressure vessel has the fixed water pressure. The pressure vessel contains a blasting mixture, comprising an abrasive media and water, for introduction to a compressed air stream and application to a substrate. The water entering the pressure vessel has the fixed water pressure to control the pot pressure. The water regulator is configured to output the water stream such that the fixed water pressure is greater than a compressed air pressure in the compressed air stream.
Venturi action media blaster
An abrasive media blaster assembly includes a container to hold at least one abrasive media, an external air source to provide a compressed air supply, a reservoir to hold water and rust inhibitor solution and a venturi blaster gun. The venturi blaster gun comprises an exterior nozzle, a media blaster block and a trigger with a handle. The fittings in the media blaster block create a venturi effect and draw the water and rust inhibitor solution so as for it to mix with the abrasive media where the dustless blaster sprays the mix to remove surface finishes from a metal surface and simultaneously provides a rust inhibitor to the surface, thereby allowing the device to be capable of performing any one, two or all of dry media blasting, slurry blasting, and water blasting.
Sand blaster with reduced vibration and wear
A sand blaster is provided that includes an engine carried by an engine mounting plate. A frame is included and an engine support isolator engages the frame and carries the engine mounting plate. The engine support isolator has a stud that extends through a first coil and a stud guide that has a tapered inner surface. The stud extends through the stud guide. In other arrangements an air regulator that is adjustable is provided, and a nozzle that features reduced wear is provided.
Slurry blasting assembly
A slurry blasting system includes a blasting pot for containing a slurry, and which is directly connected to a pressurized air piping system with a sweep elbow, an eccentric reducer, a ball valve, and a hose shutoff valve. Water is supplied to the blasting pot from a reservoir by a pump. Control valves control the pressure in the air piping system and the pressure in the blasting pot.
ABRASIVE BLAST SYSTEM
A vapor abrasive blast system includes a compressor for generating compressed air, a water pump for pumping a water stream to a pressure vessel to pressurize the pressure vessel. A control valve is disposed upstream of the pressure vessel and is configured to control the flow of water from the water pump to the pressure vessel to thereby control the flow of blast slurry downstream out of the pressure vessel.
High-pressure waterjet cutting head systems, components and related methods
A waterjet cutting method is provided which includes directing a waterjet onto a surface of a workpiece that is exposed to the surrounding atmosphere, the interaction of the waterjet with the exposed surface defining a cutting location, and simultaneously directing a gas stream onto the exposed surface of the workpiece at or adjacent the cutting location to maintain a cutting environment at the cutting location that is, apart from the waterjet, substantially devoid of fluid or particulate matter. The method may further include moving a source of the waterjet relative to the workpiece to cut the workpiece along a desired path while continuously directing the gas stream onto the exposed surface of the workpiece at or adjacent the cutting location.
