Method and device for manufacturing elastic abrasive method for blasting the elastic abrasive including method for recycling the elastic abrasive and device for blasting the elastic abrasive including device for recycling the elastic abrasive
To obtain a circulation-type blasting device which enables stable processing for a long period of time even in a case that an elastic abrasive of which abrasive grains are attached to a surface of an elastic core are used. A circulation-type blasting device is provided with a device for recycling an elastic abrasive for recycling all or a part of elastic abrasive used in a cyclic way, and the device for recycling the elastic abrasive is provided with a mixing unit for mixing recovered abrasives recovered from an abrasive recovery unit and abrasive grains introduced from an abrasive grain supplying unit in a gas flow by introducing the abrasive grains and the recovered abrasive in the gas flow to generate a solid-gas biphase flow, and a combining unit composed of at least one bent space to which the solid-gas biphase flow is introduced.
Blast treatment device and blast treatment method
According to one implementation, a blast treatment device includes an injection part and a circulating system. The injection part injects media toward a workpiece made with a composite material. The media each has a weight difference from a resinic particle dropping from the composite material. The weight difference is not less than a threshold or more than the threshold. The circulating system recovers the injected media and supplies the recovered media to the injection part. The circulating system has an impurity separation part that removes at least one of impurities and media, of which particle sizes have become small, each included in the recovered media.
System and method for stainless steel cladding of carbon steel pieces
A system and method of cladding a carbon steel piece with stainless steel according to which the carbon steel piece is cleaned, heated, coated with the stainless steel, and strengthened. In an exemplary embodiment, coating the carbon steel piece with the stainless steel includes melting the stainless steel, atomizing the melted stainless steel, and spraying the atomized stainless steel so that at least a portion of the atomized stainless steel is deposited on the carbon steel piece to thereby coat the carbon steel piece with the stainless steel.
Support and coupling assembly for a screw auger having multiple coupled screws
A support and coupling assembly for a moving screw auger that is used to move grit, such as grit that is used in the blast cleaning industry. The support and coupling assembly includes a hanger bearing assembly with a hanger bearing bracket with an end for engaging a support surface, such as a wall or a ceiling, and a removed end. A roller bearing engages the removed end of the hanger bracket and a shaft is press fit into the roller bearing. A pair of hub assemblies with flights engages the shaft and rotates with the shaft. Connector assemblies engage the hub assemblies to connect the hub assemblies to screw portions on either side of the hanger bearing assembly. The flights on the connector assemblies will cause the grit to speed up as it moves from the screw portion to the connector assembly.
Waterjet stream catcher
A catcher for a fluid stream and a method of capturing a fluid stream from a nozzle and dissipating the energy therein includes receiving the fluid stream into a housing through an aperture; and deflecting the fluid stream obliquely within the housing in one or more preselected directions.
Unitized container based abrasive blasting material separation system
A compartmentalized multiple container base apparatus for separation and recovery of used contaminated abrasive blasting material at a remote work site. A self-contained unitized storage and cleaning system including cyclonic separation, multiple stage dust filters and magnetic drum, air wash and vibratory separation in a flow through contaminate and blast media separation process.
Adjustable abrasive and dust separator
Provided is a centrifuge media separator for separating blast particulate from fine particulate carried by air flowing from a blast cabinet and through the media separator. The centrifuge media separator comprises an upper panel, a lower panel, and an outer wall. The upper panel has a central opening formed therein. The outer wall is configured in a truncated logarithmic shape and which extends between the upper and lower panels. The outer wall has at least one particulate escape aperture formed therein. The upper panel, lower panel and outer wall collectively define a curvilinear air passageway having an inlet and an outlet. An air foil extends from the outer wall in to the air passageway. The distance than the air foil extends in to the air passageway is adjustable. The inlet is configured to allow a flow of air to enter the air passageway and circulate therethrough toward the outlet. The escape aperture is configured to exhaust the blast particulate out of the passageway. The central opening is configured to exhaust the fine particulate out of the passageway.
Descaling cell component and method
A method for descaling a sheet of metal include first and second descaling components that each have a single motor driven slurry propelling impeller mounted on a top and bottom of an enclosure. The top and bottom mounted impellers of the first component are configured to propel slurry onto a sheet of metal passing through the enclosure across the entire width of the sheet of metal in a first direction extending from one lateral side to an opposite lateral side of the enclosure. The top and bottom mounted impellers of the second component are configured to propel slurry onto a sheet of metal passing through the enclosure across the entire width of the sheet of metal in a second direction opposite the first direction and extending from the opposite lateral side to the one lateral side of the enclosure.
