DEVICE FOR EXCHANGING A POLISHING DISC
A device for exchanging a polishing disc that coated with a polishing agent during operation includes the polishing disc being made from a foam material, foam rubber, felt or lambskin and fastened to a support plate of a polishing tool held on a robot. The device includes an exchanging device having at least one dispenser in which a stack of polishing discs is arranged. The dispenser has a discharge opening, the clear width of which is smaller than the assigned dimension of the polishing disc and larger than the assigned dimension of the support plate. An axially movable sliding device on which the stack rests is provided on the side facing away from the discharge opening.
TOOL WITH TOOL ELEMENTS
A tool with tool elements, rotating grinding and/or sanding tool is provided. The tool consists of a tool portion and a mounting portion, which secures the tool elements in the tool. The tool is distinguished in that the tool portion comprises first mount, and the mounting portion includes second corresponding mount for engaging with the first mount. The first and second mount include one or more resilient tabs, each of which is provided with at least one barb, and furthermore the mount comprises one or more recesses. When the tool portion and the mounting portion are assembled, the barbs on the resilient tabs will lock in the recesses of the mounting portion which are designed for this, locking the tool portion and the mounting portion to each other.
GRINDING AND/OR CUTTING TOOL AND METHOD FOR GRINDING AND/OR CUTTING
A grinding and/or cutting tool which has at least one surface region for a lateral grinding process and a surface region for a circumferential grinding process and/or a cutting process. The surface regions have different removal properties. The material properties of the surface regions differ in that the surface regions have different abrasive materials, grinding particle shapes, particle scattering patterns, particle sizes, degrees of hardness, structures, and/or binders. In one embodiment, the grinding and/or cutting tool has two of the surface regions for a lateral grinding process, and the two surface regions for a lateral grinding process are arranged at a distance from one another. The surface region for a circumferential grinding process or for a cutting process is arranged preferably between the two surface regions for a lateral grinding process.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PRODUCING ABRASIVE PRODUCTS
A method for producing abrasive products and an abrasive product. The abrasive products have a connector protruding therefrom, the connector being one of an interiorly-threaded hub, a protruding shaft and an exteriorly-threaded stud. The method includes a plurality of abrasive flaps secured to one another and to a disk from which the connector protrudes by adhesive. The improvement includes forming the connector separately from the disk and securing thereto after the plurality of abrasive flaps have been secured to the disk.

TOOL ATTACHMENT MEANS FOR POWER TROWELS
A tool driver for a power trowel, the tool driver comprising a combination of a magnetic fastening arrangement and a hook and loop based fastening arrangement for releasably holding an abrasive tool to the tool driver, wherein the magnetic fastening arrangement is configured symmetrically around a rotational center of the tool driver, wherein the hook and loop based fastening arrangement is adapted to provide increased shear strength during abrasive operation of the tool, and wherein the magnetic fastening arrangement is adapted to provide increased pull strength during lifting of the tool driver.
BACKUP PAD
A method of tuning the contact pressure across an abrasive disc is presented. The method includes coupling the abrasive disc to a backup pad comprising a pressure tuning feature that causes an experienced pressure by a worksurface, across a radius of the abrasive disc, to be uniform. The method also includes abrading a worksurface by contacting the abrasive disc to the worksurface. The backup pad causes the abrasive disc to have a cut rate that is substantially uniform across the surface of the abrasive disc when compared to the abrasive disc on a backup pad with no pressure tuning feature.

APPARATUS FOR CHANGING AN ABRASIVE SHEET IN AN ABRADING MACHINE
A system for replacing an abrasive sheet in a sanding machine including a working head in which it is provided a support body having an engagement surface arranged to engage with an abrasive sheet. The sanding machine also includes a handling device arranged to actuate the support body in space according to at least two degrees of freedom. The system may include a computing device to compute the spatial orientation of the support body. Furthermore, the system may include a removal station having a gripping element configured to grip the abrasive sheet in order to disengage the abrasive sheet from the support body.
