FLOOR PAD WITH VARIABLE ABRASIVE DISTRIBUTION
A surface-treating article, comprising a circular substrate (100) comprising a first major surface, an abrasive disposed on the first major surface, the abrasive having a first concentration at a first radius (110) measured from the center of the substrate, the abrasive having a second concentration not equal to the first concentration at a second radius (120) measured from the center of the substrate, wherein the first radius (110) and the second radius (120) are different lengths.

Tooling splice accommodation for abrasive article production
A system and method for producing an abrasive article includes a production tool configured to provide shaped abrasive particles to a resin coated backing. A first end and a second end of the production tool are spliced together to form a spliced area. The production tool includes a dispensing surface that includes a plurality of cavities formed between the first end and the second end and configured to receive and hold the shaped abrasive particles. The resin coated backing is configured to receive the shaped abrasive particles from the dispensing surface of the production tool and configured to receive further shaped abrasive particles to fill gaps in the shaped abrasive particles caused by an absence of the plurality of cavities in the spliced area.

POLISHING ROLL
The present invention provides a polishing roll capable of, for example, realizing three-dimensional polishing of hard materials such as sapphire glass at a high removal amount. The polishing roll is a cylindrical polishing roll capable of rotating about a central axis, characterized in that the polishing roll includes a core part serving as a central axis to which torque is applied, an intermediate part having a cross-section concentric with the core part, and a polishing part disposed on the outer peripheral surface of the intermediate part, and the intermediate part is made of a cushion material that is softer than the polishing part.

SURFACE CONDITIONING ARTICLE AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING THE SAME
A surface conditioning article comprises: a fabric backing having first and second opposed major sides: a lofty open nonwoven fiber web comprising entangled fibers disposed on and secured to the first major side of the fabric backing; and abrasive particles secured to the lofty open nonwoven fiber web by a binder material disposed on the first major side. At least some of the entangled fibers extend through the fabric backing from the first side to the second side. At least one raised feature comprising an organic polymer is disposed on a minor portion of the second major side of the fabric backing. The entangled fibers extending through the fabric backing have an average diameter and at least one raised feature has a height of at least 8 times the average diameter. A method of making the surface conditioning article is also disclosed.
