CMP pad construction with composite material properties using additive manufacturing processes
Embodiments of the disclosure generally provide polishing pads includes a composite pad body and methods for forming the polishing pads. One embodiment provides a polishing pad including a composite pad body. The composite pad body includes one or more first features formed from a first material or a first composition of materials, and one or more second features formed from a second material or a second composition of materials, wherein the one or more first features and the one or more second features are formed by depositing a plurality of layers comprising the first material or first composition of materials and second material or second composition of materials.
Grinding Tool
A grinding tool includes a substrate having a surface provided with a plurality of openings, and a plurality of grinding studs. Each of the grinding studs includes a stud portion and an abrasive particle attached to each other, the stud portions being respectively attached into the openings, and the abrasive particles protruding outward from the surface, each of the abrasive particles having a pattern cut across a tip thereof to define multiple apexes adjacent to one another.
Grinding tool and method of manufacturing the same
A grinding tool includes a substrate having a surface provided with a plurality of openings, and a plurality of grinding studs. In some embodiments, methods of fabricating a grinding tool are also described.
Abrasive sawing wire, production method thereof and use of same
An abrasive wire including a steel core and an outer coating including a binder and abrasive particles, the binder being formed by at least one nickel-cobalt alloy layer having a cobalt content of between 20 wt.-% and 85 wt.-% in relation to the weight of the Ni/Co alloy.
Process and apparatus for manufacturing an abrasive wire
A process for manufacturing an abrasive wire formed by abrasive particles held on a central core by a binder comprises depositing abrasive particles on the central core, each particle comprising a magnetic material that has a relative permeability greater than 50 and that represents at least 1% of the volume of the abrasive particle, and depositing binder on the central core to keep the abrasive particles attached to it. The core has south poles and north poles alternating along either its circumference or its length.
