An armorer tool system for distributing the applied torque over a very wide surface, associated with assembling and disassembling primarily the barrel and the lower receiver extension of an AR platform firearms, independently of the specifications of their barrel extension, lower receiver and upper receiver external features, and magazine well geometry; and methods of using the tools are also disclosed.

Tool-less vise jaw system
11612987 · 2023-03-28 ·

The tool-less vise jaw system comprises a stop block and two jaw plates. The jaw plates couple to the jaws of a vise that is used in conjunction with an industrial machine or tool. One jaw plate comprises a plurality of holes into which pins projecting from the stop block may be inserted. One pin extends through the jaw plate into the space between the vise jaws. The pin is used as a reference point during edge finding. Later, when switching from one job to another, the stop block may be moved to a different position in the plurality of holes and a digital readout may be programmed to change an X-axis offset by an amount corresponding to the distance that the pin was moved, thus eliminating the need to edge find again.

Self-centering vise structure

Workpiece Holding Devices and Associated Methods

An example device includes fingers that are adjustable longitudinally and configured to grip a workpiece. A clamping or locking mechanism can be used to secure the fingers at desired longitudinal positions. In examples, a retaining component is disposed through the fingers and is configured to retain the fingers in lateral directions.

CLAMPING MEANS SYSTEM CAPABLE OF AUTOMATION
20170368651 · 2017-12-28 · ·

A clamping means system including a bearing device and clamping vices, which fit into the bearing device and respectively have on their base area machine coupling system and on their side faces and flanks a bearing receiving contour and a gripping receiving contour. The bearing receiving contour has the greatest play; the fit between the gripper and the gripper receiving contour is of moderate precision, while the precision of the machine coupling system is the greatest. The clear functional separation between the machine coupling system and the bearing receiving contour or gripper receiving contour allows a reliable low-cost system to be constructed. Furthermore, in the case of mixed partly automated systems, in which parts of the handling tasks are performed by the operator and other parts are performed by gripping robots, the handling is possible in an easy and intuitive way.

Lapping assembly or process utilizing a bar stack extender

A slider bar extender to removably connect one or more slider bars to a processing machine or tool is disclosed. In illustrated embodiments, the extender is coupled to a holder structure through a tongue and groove connection. In illustrated embodiments, the tongue is formed on the holder structure and the groove is formed on the extender. In illustrated embodiments, the extender includes a plurality of reduced thickness strips. The reduced thickness strips are orientated lengthwise to control or transfer bending to one or more bars connected to a proximal edge surface of the extender.

Floating jaw assembly for use with machinist vises
09849565 · 2017-12-26 ·

An improved floating jaw assembly to a machinist vise assembly capable of holding a plurality of individual workpieces, the vise assembly generally including a base with a way or ways, a fixed jaw mounted on the ways, at least one movable jaw slidably mounted on the ways to move toward and away from the fixed jaw on a longitudinal axis in such a manner that at least one workpiece can be securely held between the fixed jaw and the at least one movable jaw, and a mechanism for moving the movable jaw toward and away from the fixed jaw to clamp and unclamp workpieces.
