Modular, cam locked soft jaw for holding workpieces securely and accurately in a machine tool
The present invention relates to a clamping mechanism that is configured to securely hold a workpiece in a machine tool, such as, but not limited to a vertical machining center, or a horizontal machining center, etc. More specifically, the clamping mechanism is configured as a modular soft jaw. A multiplicity of clamping mechanisms can be used to cooperatively secure large workpieces. Furthermore, a multiplicity of clamping mechanisms can be incorporated into a job set-up so a multiplicity of workpieces can be processed concurrently. The present invention's clamping mechanism can be secured in orientations such as, but not limited to a machine tool table bed, a fixture plate, a tombstone, etc. The present invention's modular, soft jaw clamping mechanism can be used in conjunction with other work holding equipment, such as, but not limited to jigs, fixtures, tools, vises, clamps, etc.
VISE
A vise is provided, including: a pushing block, including at least one pushing side, each said pushing side including at least one first pushing abutting inclined surface and at least one first restriction structure, each said first restriction structure having a first sliding abutting inclined surface; at least one clamping block, each said clamping block including at least one second restriction structure, each said second restriction structure including at least one second sliding abutting inclined surface, the at least one second restriction structure of each said clamping block slidably restrictable with the at least one first restriction structure, each said second restriction structure and one said first restriction structure restrictably abutting against each other and non-detachable on a direction perpendicular to a sliding path of the clamping block, the second sliding abutting inclined surface parallel to the first sliding abutting inclined surface.
Soldering Block for LED Tape Light
A soldering block for holding two electrical components in contact or proximity to facilitate their connection, such as by soldering. The soldering block utilizes a pair of fixation elements, such as spring tensioned clamps, to hold the first and second electrical elements in place, conveniently acting as a third hand for the electrician. The soldering block is especially well suited to connecting wires to the terminals of LED tape strip.
Machining fixture with quick release lever
A fixture for supporting a workpiece during a machining operation is disclosed. The fixture may include a seat configured to receive the workpiece. The fixture may further include a quick release lever mounted to the fixture and configured to displace the workpiece from the seat.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MULTI-HOLE ASSEMBLIES WITH ANGULAR ADJUSTMENT AND LOCKING
A dual-sleeve, locking adjustment arrangement includes a position-sensitive component comprising an aperture, an outer eccentric sleeve disposed in the aperture, and an inner eccentric sleeve disposed in the outer sleeve. Rotation of the outer sleeve with respect to the position-sensitive component and the inner sleeve drives rotation of the position-sensitive component to adjust an angular position of the component.
Quick grip pocket hole jig system and method
A quick grip pocket hole jig system is presented having a support section having a clamp support, an end stop and a back stop. A clamping assembly is connected to the support section having a clamping rod that extends through the clamp support. A drill guide carrier having a drill guide assembly is connected to the clamping rod on a forward side of the clamp support. A clamp body having a trigger and a release mechanism is connected to the clamping rod on a rearward side of the clamp support. The clamp body is a quick grip clamp body that facilitates quick gripping of a workpiece positioned within the support section. The clamping assembly includes a return spring and a release mechanism such that when the release mechanism is actuated the drill guide carrier and the drill guide assembly are automatically moved to a non-clamping position.
Beam clamp fixture
A fixture for clamping a structural beam during machining is equipped with at least one beam clamp assembly having an elongated clamp arm capable of pivoting as well as linear motion during a clamping operation. The elongated clamp arm is pivotably mounted to a pivot block rotated by an actuator device. The pivot axis of the clamp arm is aligned with but spaced from the axis of rotation of the pivot block.
Build plate clamping-assembly and additive manufacturing systems and methods of additively printing on workpieces
A build plate-clamping assembly may include a work station having a build plate-receiving surface and a lock-pin extending from the build plate-receiving surface of the work station. The lock-pin may include a hollow pin body, a piston disposed within the hollow pin body, with the piston axially movable from a retracted position to an actuated position, and a plurality of detents, with the plurality of detents radially extensible through respective ones of a plurality of detent-apertures in the hollow pin body responsive to the piston having been axially moved to the actuated position. A methods of working on workpieces may include lockingly engaging a build plate at a first work station, performing a first work-step, releasing the build plate from the first work station, lockingly engaging the build plate at a second work station, and performing a second work-step. An additive manufacturing system may include a vision system with a first build plate-receiving surface and an additive manufacturing machine with a second build plate-receiving surface.
Device for clamping a piece of formwork, formwork for making a concrete slab, and a method of making a concrete slab
A device for clamping a piece of formwork includes a bar having an end for attachment to a body. The device includes a jaw mounted on the bar and for receiving the piece of formwork, the jaw being movable along the bar.
MITER CLAMPING SYSTEM
A clamping system and method useful in miter edge fabrication. Two separate units, each including a vacuum plate may be placed on separate slabs. The units may be connected with a knuckle that can be rotated to provide connection of the slabs in a variety of angles. The units are vacuum sealed to the slabs. The vacuum plates may include various sections of varied sizes to connect to different sized slabs. When the knuckle is locked, a worm gear will provide for lateral movement, relative the knuckle, to provide precision fitting of slabs.
