A clamping device for clamping at least two components which are to be joined together includes a first carrier structure, a second carrier structure which is connectable to the first carrier structure by a connector, and at least one positioning device which is provided on the first or the second carrier structure in order to position the components to be joined together at a defined position with reference to the first or the second carrier structure. A method for designing a clamping device for clamping at least two components to be joined together includes steps for designing these various elements.
ADJUSTABLE FLAG AND ASSEMBLY JIG INCLUDING AN ADJUSTABLE FLAG
A flag for securing a work piece to an assembly jig comprises a base. At least one positioning member extends outwardly from the base for selectively pivoting about at least one axis. An end effector is connected to the at least one positioning member and defines an interaction point for engaging the work piece. A joining connection secures one of the at least one positioning member to another of the at least one positioning member. The joining connection has a first configuration and a second configuration. One of the at least one positioning member is moveable relative to another of the at least one positioning member in the first configuration. The joining connection defines at least one bore for receiving a dowel to secure one of the at least one positioning member to another of the at least one positioning member to lock the interaction point in the second configuration.
BUMPER APPARATUS
A bumper apparatus for securing a vehicle bumper during painting and repair is described herein. The apparatus includes a base support structure, a frame coupled to the base support structure, at least one rear coupler arm movably coupled to the frame, at least one front coupler arm movably coupled to the frame via a front coupler attachment, and a front coupler. The front coupler attachment includes a frame portion movably coupled to the frame, a ball portion fixedly coupled to the frame portion, a socket portion configured to receive the ball portion, and an arm portion movably coupled to the . The front coupler is movably coupled to the at least one front coupler arm and is configured to be releasably coupled to the vehicle bumper.
Table tennis assembly tool
A table tennis assembly apparatus is provided. The table tennis assembly apparatus may provide a base substrate and an overlaying cutting substrate. Along at least one peripheral of the base substrate may be a bar panel and or one or more clamps. Each clamp is for urging a first force distributor to sandwich a table tennis blade, in a uniform manner, against a glued table tennis rubber supported by the base substrate. After a predetermined amount of time a user may swap the first force distributor for a smaller second force distributor, enabling the user to trim the table tennis rubber around the perimeter of the blade.
MITER CLAMPING SYSTEM
A clamping system useful in miter edge fabrication. Two separate units, each including a vacuum plate may be placed on'separate slabs. The units are connected with a knuckle that can be rotated to provide connection of the slabs in a variety of angles. The units are vacuum sealed to the slabs via pressure tubes. The vacuum plates may include various sections of varied sizes to connect to different sized slabs. When the knuckle is locked, a worm gear will provide for lateral movement, relative the knuckle, to provide precision fitting of slabs.
Clamping device and clamping system using the same
A clamping device includes a first holder and a second holder. The first holder includes a first abutting member and a driving member. The driving member is coupled to the first abutting member. The second holder includes a second abutting member. The first abutting member and the second abutting member are oppositely disposed and spaced apart from each other to receive a workpiece. The driving member is coupled to the first abutting member to drive the first abutting member to move in a direction toward the second abutting member to clamp the workpiece between the first abutting member and the second abutting member.
Clamp for standing seam
A clamp assembly that may be used for securing to a raised portion of a surface. The clamp assembly comprising a mounting body of a general block shape having a slot for receiving the raised portion formed in a bottom surface of the mounting body attaching the clamp assembly thereto. The clamp assembly is configured with one or more pins that may be formed in a substantially elongated cylindrical shape. The pins may be configured to be received in one or more push-pin holes formed in the mounting body, whereby the push-pin holes extend to the slot from a side surface of push-pin holes. The clamp assembly includes a fastening element adapted to be received in a fastener hole formed adjacent the push-pin holes in the side surface of the mounting body. The fastening element is configured to secure, attach and hold the clamp assembly to the standing seam by forcing the pins against the raised portion of the surface disposed in the slot.
Spring clamp for optics
An optical device may include an optic disposed in an optical path. The optical device may include a mount to dispose the optic in the optical path. The optical device may include a plurality of spring clamps to attach the optic to the mount. The spring clamp, of the plurality of spring clamps, may include a body, a spring, and a screw. The screw may be to attach to the mount and to compress the spring. The spring may be to dispose a leading edge of the body against the optic. The spring clamp may be to maintain the optic in the optical path for a thermal cycle of at least between approximately 50 C. and approximately 130 C.
Build plate clamping-assembly and additive manufacturing systems and methods of additively printing on workpieces
A build plate-clamping assembly may include a work station having a build plate-receiving surface and a lock-pin extending from the build plate-receiving surface of the work station. The lock-pin may include a hollow pin body, a piston disposed within the hollow pin body, with the piston axially movable from a retracted position to an actuated position, and a plurality of detents, with the plurality of detents radially extensible through respective ones of a plurality of detent-apertures in the hollow pin body responsive to the piston having been axially moved to the actuated position. A methods of working on workpieces may include lockingly engaging a build plate at a first work station, performing a first work-step, releasing the build plate from the first work station, lockingly engaging the build plate at a second work station, and performing a second work-step.
