Seismic sway brace fitting
A seismic sway brace fitting for a seismic brace includes a first jaw defining a threaded opening configured to receive a fastener to secure the seismic sway brace fitting to the seismic brace, and a second jaw. A pin connects the first and second jaws to one another. The first and second jaws define a space configured to receive an end portion of the seismic brace. The threaded opening is aligned with the space such that the fastener extends into the space to engage the end portion of the seismic brace when the fastener is received in the threaded opening to secure the seismic brace to the sway brace fitting. The first jaw includes at least one brace bearing surface configured to engage an end of the seismic brace to inhibit the rotation of the first jaw relative to the second jaw.
Clamping tong for a wind turbine blade shell mould
Disclosed is a clamping tong for securing a shell part of a wind turbine blade in a mould and a mould comprising a clamping tong. The clamping tong comprises a first tong segment, a second tong segment and a third tong segment. The third tong segment has a clamping surface for applying a clamping force on a mould section, such as a mould flange of the mould. The clamping tong is configured to reposition the clamping surface between a clamping state and a release state. The distance between the clamping surface and the first tong axis in the clamping state is shorter than the distance between the clamping surface and the first tong axis in the release state. Thereby, the clamping surface may provide the clamping force on the mould section in the clamping state. The first tong segment is attachable to the mould.
CLAMP HOLDER APPARATUS, SYSTEM AND METHOD THEREOF
An apparatus is provided that may include clamp alignment members, and interconnection members connecting each of the clamp alignment members. The clamp alignment members each have a slot disposed between a first end and a second end thereof. Each interconnection member is pivotably coupled to another interconnection member and slidably coupled with respect to one of the clamp alignment members via one of the slots.
Multiconfigurational support tool
A multiconfigurational support tool is described. Embodiments of the multiconfigurational support tool can include, but are not limited to, a main member, a first support member, and a second support member. The first support member and the second support member can each be removably coupled to the main member such that the support members can be rotated and moved along a length of the main member as determined by a user. The first support member can be implemented to interface with a first object and the second support member can be implemented to interface with a second object.
Taper jig and methods of use
A taper jig that provides a woodworker with multifunctional use for orientating and maintaining a workpiece in order to make a tapered cut in a workpiece at desired incremental angles. The taper jig includes a first track and a second track that operably engages the first track wherein the second track is pivotably moveable relative to the first track. The taper jig also includes at least one measurement scale assembly that operably secures the first track and the second track to one another at a predetermined angle. The taper jig also includes at least one clamping handle assembly that operably engages one of the first track and the second track, wherein the at least one clamping handle assembly being adapted to clamp a workpiece. The taper jig may also include a first sled and a second sled that operably engage with the first and second tracks.
Cabinet assembly jig
A jig for assembling a cabinet is disclosed. The jig includes a clamp assembly pivotally attached to a base. The clamp assembly includes a first jaw and a second jaw configured to apply a clamping force therebetween. The clamp assembly can pivot between a first position and a first inclined position. In the first position, a front support plate of the clamp assembly is oriented vertically, and in the first inclined position, a first angle less than 90 degrees is formed between the front support plate and a support surface on which the base rests. The clamp assembly may also pivot to a second inclined position at which a second angle less than the first angle is formed between the front support plate and the support surface.
Modular Jig and Fixture Systems and Methods
Jigs and fixtures for aligning, guiding, and/or holding a workpiece on woodworking machinery during a woodworking operation are described, as well as methods of making, modifying, and using jigs and fixtures.
CHUCK FOR GRIPPING AND MOVING CYLINDRICAL BODIES, IN PARTICULAR FITTINGS AND PIPE SEGMENTS, AND APPARATUS INCLUDING THE CHUCK
A chuck for gripping and moving cylindrical bodies, in particular fittings and pipe segments, including a main body defining an axis of rotation and a plurality of jaws fastened to the main body; the jaws are movable between a position of maximum closure, in which they are at the minimum distance from the axis of rotation, to a position of maximum opening, in which they are at the maximum distance from the axis of rotation; the chuck has an adjuster means for adjusting the positions of maximum closure and maximum opening and a movement means for moving the jaws between the positions of maximum closure and maximum opening; the chuck includes a fixing means adapted to allow the axial fixing of the chuck to a support member and the connection of the chuck to the support member so that they are angularly rotatable with respect to each other.
Clamp for retaining a block of material on a machining table, clamping device comprising said clamp and method of clamping a block of material, onto a machining table
A clamp to retain a block of material on a machining table including a body having a first face, a first front face oriented toward the machining table and the block of material when in use, a nose projecting relative to the first front face having a second front face parallel to the first front face, first and second edges connecting the first and second front faces, and at least one internally threaded hole opening at least partly at the level of the second front face with an axis forming a non-zero angle with the first face and the second front face, at least one grub screw screwed into the internally threaded hole having a pointed free end configured to penetrate into the block of material when in use when screwing in the grub screw, and a connecting system to demountably connect the clamp to the machining table.
Low cost, high performance, multi-head drill and fill machine
A manufacturing system employing a bifurcated backbone having an upper plate and lower plate, with a longitudinal slot between the upper and lower plate. A plurality of actuator groups are mounted longitudinally adjacent the slot. A carrier supports a panel for longitudinal translation into the slot and the carrier is configured to pulse longitudinally in the slot relative to the plurality of actuator groups during a sequence of fabrication operations by the plurality of actuator groups on the panel.
