BIFURCATED LOCKING PLIERS FOR ENHANCED CONTROL OF ADEL CLAMPS DURING INSTALLATION, INSPECTION, AND REMOVAL
A locking pliers for enhanced control of Adel clamps during installation, inspection, and removal of Adel clamps. The locking pliers is made from high-carbon steel, and includes a first plier arm having a first bifurcated grasping portion, a first pivot portion, and a first handle portion ending in a series of ridges. The locking pliers also includes a second plier arm having a second bifurcated grasping portion, a second pivot portion pivotably connected to the first pivot portion, and a second handle portion ending in a wedge that is cooperative with the series of ridges serving as an adjustable locking mechanism. The handle portion includes cushioning grip material. The locking pliers also include a leaf spring to resiliently resist bringing the two handle portions together. In some embodiments, each bifurcated grasping portion includes a slot of a width to partially surround a screw and a hole that accepts the screw.
Locking Pliers with Improved Adjustment Member
A hand tool includes a first jaw, a first handle fixed to the first jaw, a second jaw, and a second handle pivotally coupled to the second jaw, a link member, and an adjustment member. The adjustment member is operable to axially move a first end of the link member to vary a distance between the first and second jaws. The adjustment member includes an engagement surface engageable with the first end of the link member, a shank in threaded engagement with a bore in the first handle, and a flange extending from the shank opposite the engagement portion. The flange includes a first side, a second side opposite the first side, and an elongate opening extending through the first and second sides.
Crimping pliers, and toothed wheel having teeth
Crimping pliers are configured to crimp cable lugs onto electrical conductors. The crimping pliers includes first and second crimping jaws pivotally connected together, a first crimping matrix mounted for rotation on the first crimping jaw, a second crimping matrix mounted for rotation on the second crimping jaw, each crimping jaw having a plurality of different first crimping dies formed therein, and interlocks provided on the crimping jaws. The interlocks are configured to lock one of the crimping dies on each crimping jaw into a working position.

LOCKING PLIERS
A locking pliers includes a first plier and a second plier. The first plier includes a first handle, a first jaw, and an adjusting member. The second plier includes a second jaw, a first connecting member, a toggle link, and a second handle. The second jaw has a first pivoting portion and a second pivoting portion. The first pivoting portion is pivotally connected to the first handle. The first connecting member is pivotally connected to the second pivoting portion. The toggle link is abutted against the adjusting member and has a third pivoting portion pivotally connected to the first connecting member. The second handle is connected to the first connecting member. A first length defined between the first pivoting portion and the second pivoting portion is less than a second length defined between the second pivoting portion and the third pivoting portion.

Locking wrench pliers
Embodiments of the current invention relate to a pliers wrench. Optionally, the jaws of the pair of pliers lock to an adjustable gap size and/or the gap between the jaws is aligned with a rotational axis of the pair of pliers. For example, there may be two jaws that adjust symmetrically around the rotational axis. In some embodiments, each jaw is closed toward an opposing jaw by a lever. Optionally, a locking mechanism locks the jaw when it reaches half the gap width from the rotational axis. Optionally, each jaw is closable independently of the other jaw. Optionally, a notch in the jaws forms an angle for clasping a bolt perpendicular to an axis of the device. For example, the notch may have a 120 angle.
Plumbing pliers
A pair of plumbing pliers includes two levers, a pawl and a torque spring. After adjusting the desired bite size according to a diameter of a pipe, the levers are pivoted relative to each other in a first range to clamp and release the pipe repeatedly to rotate the pipe. To adjust a bite size of the pair of plumbing pliers according to a diameter of another pipe, the levers are pivoted and then moved relative to each other in a second range. Little resistance is encountered in the first range. However, considerable resistance is encountered in the second range. Hence, the difference between the first and second ranges can easily be felt. Accordingly, it is not likely that a user will, by mistake, enter the second range, i.e., increase the bite size of the pair of plumbing pliers.
