CONSUMER ELECTRONICS REPAIR GUIDE CARD WITH MAGNETIC HOLDER
A magnetic repair guide device comprising a first layer having a transparent upper surface, a second layer affixed below the first layer, a repair guide having visual images of the components of a consumer electronic product to be repaired and textual and/or visual instructions to repair the consumer electronic product, a space provided between the first layer and the second layer, the space being configured to removeably receive the magnetic repair guide below the transparent upper surface so that the one or more visual images and the one or more textual and/or visual instructions remain visible through the transparent upper layer and a third layer affixed below the second layer. The third layer has sufficient magnetic strength to enable the transparent upper surface to hold ferromagnetic parts of the components kept over designated places as indicated in the repair guide after being removed from the consumer electronic product.
REPRESENTATION OF OVERLAPPING VISUAL ENTITIES
Various embodiments present a combined visual entity that represents overlapping visual entities. The combined visual entity can include a primary visualization that represents one of the overlapping visual entities and annotations that represent others of the overlapping visual entities. For example, a map view can include multiple geographical entities that overlap. A primary visualization can be rendered that represents one of the multiple geographical entities. The primary visualization can be visually annotated (e.g., with symbols, letters, or other visual indicators) to indicate others of the multiple geographical entities. In some embodiments, a zoom operation can cause visual entities to be added and/or removed from the combined visual entity.
Magnetic clamping device for magnetically clamping to a magnetically attracted material and having a dampening means
There is provided a magnetic clamping device (10) for magnetically clamping to a magnetically attracted material (30). The device comprises at least one permanent clamping magnet (14, 44) for magnetically clamping to the magnetically attracted material wherein the magnet is movable relative to the magnetically attracted material from a position remote from the magnetically attracted material to a clamping position for the clamping of the material by the magnet. The device also includes damping means (22, 24) for damping the movement of the clamping magnet to the clamping position. The damping means biases the clamping magnet away from the magnetically attracted material to assist release of the clamping magnet from the magnetically attracted material. In addition, the device has support means (16, 40, 58) to which the clamping magnet is mounted for the relative movement of the clamping magnet from the remote position to the clamping position and for withdrawing the clamping magnet relative to the magnetically attracted material to release the magnetically attracted material. There is also provided a method for clamping the magnetically attracted material (30) using the clamping device (10). The clamping device may, for example, be a device for securing a load to the magnetically attracted material, a lifting device, a device for holding a work piece in position, or a welding clamp.
Portable magnetic positioning tool
Apparatus and methods for positioning one or more components relative to a work surface are provided. The apparatus can include a frame having a first support member extending therefrom. At least one extendable member can be disposed on the first support member. The extendable member can be adapted to move in a linear direction. At least one magnet can be disposed on the frame. The magnet can include at least one contact side that can be switchable between a magnetized state and a non-magnetized state.
MAGNETIC COUPLING DEVICE WITH AT LEAST ONE OF A SENSOR ARRANGEMENT AND A DEGAUSS CAPABILITY
Magnetic coupling devices are disclosed having magnetic field sensors. The magnetic coupling device may include a calibration module for calibrating the magnetic coupling devices.
Magnetic coupling device with at least one of a sensor arrangement and a degauss capability
Magnetic coupling devices are disclosed having magnetic field sensors. The magnetic coupling device may include degaussing coils wrapped about pole extension shoes of the magnetic coupling device.
HOLDING APPARATUS, MOUNTING SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR HOLDING COMPONENTS DURING MOUNTING
This relates to a holding apparatus for holding a component during mounting. The holding apparatus comprises at least a first holding unit including at least one magnetic field generating device for generating a magnetic field, and at least a second magnetic holding unit spaced apart from the first holding unit in a predetermined distance for receiving the component. A holding force for holding the component between the first holding unit and the second holding unit is generated in the second magnetic holding unit as a result of induction and by means of a magnetic field generated by the magnetic field generating device. The embodiment also comprises a mounting system and a method for holding components by means of such holding apparatuses.
Representation of overlapping visual entities

The combined visual entity can include a primary visualization that represents one of the overlapping visual entities and annotations that represent others of the overlapping visual entities. For example, a map view can include multiple geographical entities that overlap. A primary visualization can be rendered that represents one of the multiple geographical entities. The primary visualization can be visually annotated (e.g., with symbols, letters, or other visual indicators) to indicate others of the multiple geographical entities. In some embodiments, a zoom operation can cause visual entities to be added and/or removed from the combined visual entity.
Magnet
The present invention relates to a magnet, which comprises a body and a slide arranged to be movable relative to the body between a first and a second position. The slide comprises a permanent magnet, and a cylindrical first pole piece and a second pole piece, which are attached to opposite magnetic pole surfaces of the permanent magnet. The body comprises a first and a second section made of magnetic material and being separated from each other by a third section that is made of non-magnetic material. The first section comprises a cylindrical recess into which the slide is movably arranged so that, at the first position of the slide, the cylindrical first pole piece, the permanent magnet and at least part of the second pole piece are located inside the cylindrical recess, and at the second position of the slide, at least part of the cylindrical first pole piece is located inside the cylindrical recess and the second pole piece is located outside the cylindrical recess.
Single-point clamp of four-wheel aligner for vehicles and a using method thereof
A single-point clamp of four-wheel aligner for vehicles connected to a fixing hub nut on the wheel comprises a sleeve, a single-point variable hexagonal grip, a fastening nut, a connecting board, and a target board with magnets. The single-point variable hexagonal grip and the fastening nut are respectively disposed at two ends of the sleeve. The single-point variable hexagonal grip is firmly lodged in the fixing hub nut. Two ends of the connecting board are respectively connected to the sleeve and the target board. A using method includes: (1) loosening the fastening nut of the single-point clamp; (2) inserting the single-point variable hexagonal grip into the fixing hub nut of the wheel; and (3) rotationally fastening the fastening nut for clamping the fixing hub nut firmly.
