POWERED RATCHETING TORQUE WRENCH

A power tool comprises a housing defining a grip portion, a motor having a motor drive shaft, a drive assembly including a crankshaft configured to receive torque from the motor drive shaft, an output assembly having an output member configured to receive torque from the crankshaft, a bearing rotatably supporting the crankshaft, a retainer configured to prevent translation of the bearing along the crankshaft past the retainer, and a transducer assembly disposed between the grip portion and the output member to measure the amount of torque applied through the output member.

A multipurpose and universal wrench for tightening and loosening a fastener, such as a lug nut. The wrench or lug nut wrench can be adapted to lug nuts of varied sizes and shapes. The wrench includes four arms arranged in a cross shape, and three arms are functional while the fourth arm has a torque adjusting handle. Sockets can be interchangeably coupled to the three functional arms. Moreover, the arms are telescoping allowing changing the effective length of the arms. The two opposite functional arms can pivot for collapsing the wrench for storage.

A wrench includes a ratchet unit located in the head and includes a mount hole. A collar is connected to the head and includes a slot and an aperture. A C-shaped engaging member includes a first end thereof inserted into the aperture. A second end of the engaging member protrudes beyond the collar. The engaging member includes a second section which is a curved section and resiliently protruded into the slot. A rotary member is mounted to outer periphery of the collar and includes a notch defined in the underside thereof. The second end of the engaging member is located in the notch and covered by the rotary member. When the rotary member is rotated, the engaging member is deformed to insert or remove the second section relative to the mount hole via the slot to position a socket in the head of the wrench.

Tool with Gearless Ratchet Mechanism

Various designs for a gearless ratchet mechanism and tools incorporating the gearless ratchet mechanism are described. One embodiment relates to a gearless ratchet with a design for improved performance including low or zero swing angle and/or decreased part wear. Another embodiment relates to a gearless ratchet with features designed to maximize life and strength of the tool.

YOKE INSTALLATION AND REMOVAL ASSISTING DEVICE

A yoke installation and removal assisting device includes a structural body, a pair of yoke-receiving channels, a tool-receiving recess, and a pin-receiving channel. The pair of yoke-receiving channels terminally traverses into the structural body at a first end and is used to position a yoke. To prevent slipping during operation, a safety pin is preferably inserted through the pin-receiving channel and a pair of pin holes of the yoke. The pin-receiving channel laterally traverses into the structural body perpendicular to the pair of yoke-receiving channels and is used to hold the yoke against the structural body. The tool-receiving recess traverses into the structural body at a second end and is used to connect to an air tool or a manual ratchet. By operating the air tool/manual ratchet the yoke positioned within the structural body can be installed/removed.

A quick-turning wrench includes a driving end with a first jaw and a second jaw. The first and the second jaws respectively have a first and a second side, which face one another. The driving end defines an engaging space between the first and the second jaws. The driving end has a first grip-surface section, a second grip-surface section, and a third grip-surface section. The engaging space is partially delimited by the first, the second, and the third grip-surface sections. The first grip-surface section is adjacent to the first side and extends along a flat first phantom surface. The second and the third grip-surface sections are adjacent to the second side and respectively extend on a flat second phantom surface and a flat third phantom surface.
