POWER TOOL WITH ANTI-KICKBACK CONTROL SYSTEM
A power tool includes a housing, a motor received in the housing, an output driven by the motor, and a control system. The control system includes a rotational motion sensor configured to generate a rotational motion signal that corresponds to a rotational motion of the housing about an axis, a current sensor configured to generate a motor current signal that corresponds to an amount of current drawn by the motor, and a control circuit that is configured to receive the rotational motion signal and the motor current signal and to control operation of the motor. The control circuit is configured: (a) to determine, based on the current signal, whether a detected kickback condition is likely to be false; (b) to determine, based upon the rotational motion signal, whether an uncontrolled kickback condition has occurred; and (c) to initiate one or more protective operations upon determining that an uncontrolled kickback condition has occurred and is not likely to be false.
Door stop installation tool and method of using same
A door stop installation device. The door stop installation device may include a main body portion; a door stop receiving portion integrated into the main body portion; an extension portion extending from a proximal end of the main body portion; an opening in a distal end of the main body portion; and wherein, the door stop receiving portion may be configured to receive at least one type of a door stop.
FASTENER REMOVAL APPARATUS
A fastener removal apparatus is configured for removing a nut from a threaded shank and includes a gearbox assembly, an outer socket, and a tubular sleeve member. The gearbox assembly has an input member, a first output member, a second output member, and a plurality of gears. The first output member and the second output member rotation in opposite directions about a longitudinal axis in response to rotation imparted to the input member. The outer socket extends between a first end defining a female polygonal opening and a second end engaged for concurrent rotation with the first output member. The tubular sleeve member extends between a first end defining a threaded opening for receiving threads defined by the threaded shank and a second end engaged for concurrent rotation with the second output member.
FASTENING TOOL FOR ROOFING FASTENERS WITH PLATE WASHERS
A fastener installation tool is provided for installing threaded fasteners through a washer plate having a center hole used in connection with roofing membrane installation. The installation tool is configured to receive different types of washer plates, and is easily dis-assembleable in the field without the need for tools in order to easily and simply clear jams.
Deep-Hole Socket Driving Shank Assembly
A driving shank assembly includes a tube, a drive head, a connector, two quick release nuts, and two fastening caps. The tube has two mounting portions each provided with a mounting recess for mounting the drive head and the connector respectively. The two quick release nuts are locked onto the two mounting portions of the tube respectively. The two fastening caps are locked onto the two quick release nuts respectively. Each of the two fastening caps has interior provided with an inner stepped edge. The drive head is provided with a stepped positioning edge abutting the inner stepped edge of one of the two fastening caps. The connector is provided with a stepped positioning edge abutting the inner stepped edge of the other one of the two fastening caps.
Screw length determination system, screw-tightening system and storage medium
A screw length determination system capable of quickly determining the length of a screw is obtained. A PLC (10) is equipped with a determination part for measuring the moving speed of a driver for tightening screws in the axial direction of the driver from an initial position until a screw contacts and is screwed into a workpiece, and determining the length of the screw on the basis of the time from the start of movement from the initial position until the moving speed changes.
VEHICLE COVER SCREW TOOL AND METHOD OF USE
A screw tool system for use with vehicle covers includes a vehicle screw adapter which interfaces with the receiver end of the screw and uses a standard cordless power screwdriver to drive the screw either into or out of the frame and vehicle top. A standard screwdriver handle could be used in place of the cordless power screwdriver. The cordless power screwdriver is preferred over a corded power screwdriver due to ease of use and lower power, which reduces the threat of stripping the screw.
APPARATUS, SYSTEMS AND KITS FOR LOOSENING AND RETORQUING HYDRAULIC CYLINDER PISTON-RETAINING NUTS
The present disclosure generally relates to apparatus, systems, and kits of parts for knock-down heavy-duty transportable torque tool assemblies capable of onsite field-servicing of high-pressure heavy-duty hydraulic cylinders used in heavy-duty construction equipment and industrial machinery. The embodiments disclosed herein pertain to assemblies comprising modular knock-down components that may be mounted onto the bed of a field service truck and configured as needed to provide loosening and retorquing of piston-retaining nuts.
Low-profile impact tools
Illustrative embodiments of impact tools are disclosed. In at least one illustrative embodiment, an impact tool comprises a motor including an output shaft configured to rotate about a first axis and a drive train configured to be driven by the output shaft of the motor and to drive rotation of an output drive about a second axis that is non-parallel to the first axis, wherein the drive train includes an impact mechanism comprising a hammer configured to rotate about a third axis to periodically deliver an impact load to an anvil, the third axis being parallel to and spaced apart from the second axis.
Powered retaining screwdriver
The invention relates to a system and method for driving orthopedic bone screws. In one aspect the driver includes a powered driving rod that is configured to releasably couple with a recess in a bone screw via a threaded system for coupling and uncoupling the screw from the driving rod.
