Fastener installation tool and related method of use
A fastener installation tool is provided with a first fastener guide that guides a fastener into a side of a workpiece at an angle, and includes a pusher block that can be used to urge the workpiece toward an adjacent workpiece. The tool can include a second fastener guide having a spacer with a spacer width that establishes a consistent, predetermined gap between the adjacent workpieces. The pusher block can be strengthened via a pusher block width that is greater than the spacer width to withstand forces when the pusher block urges one workpiece toward another. The guide can be selectively moveable in a guide tube and able to be clamped in a selected location therein to set the spacer a predetermined distance from the pusher block to accommodate a variety of board sizes. Related methods of use also are provided.
Bolting device for manufacturing battery pack
Discussed is a bolting device that effectively protects an internal configuration of a battery pack and increases manufacturing efficiency during a bolting operation. The bolting device for manufacturing a battery pack includes an electric screwdriver provided with a rotation motor; a driver bit connected to the rotation motor to enable a rotation movement and configured to rotate a bolt; a bit guide member provided with a hollow tube such that the driver bit is inserted into an inside of the hollow tube to be movable; and a guide jig provided with a main body configured to be mounted on an upper portion of a pack housing, the main body having a plate shape and having at least one through hole, and a fixing member inserted into the through hole and mounted therein, and having an insertion hole.
CENTERING DEVICE AND FASTENING ARRANGEMENT
A centering device for guiding a fastener or a drill during a setting operation. The centering device is arranged in or at a passage opening of a component, which forms a fastening point. The component can be a substantially flat metal part, in particular a lug or bracket for a faade element. The centering device is arranged at the plane of the back of the passage opening and includes a collar and connecting elements between the collar and the edge of the passage opening. The collar has a substantially flat to bead-like annular shape and is formed in the component. The central opening of the collar forms a centering seat for a fastener or drill during setting. A fastening arrangement has a component, centering device and matching screw. The screw forms a form fit via its lower head portion in the passage opening after completion of the setting process.
CLIP STARTER GUIDE AND RELATED METHOD OF USE
A clip fastener guide is provided including an upward opening funnel, a barrel and a guide base. The guide base can include a handle including a grasping surface configured so a user can grasp and manipulate the guide, and can define a guide recess disposed below the elongated barrel. A clip can include a clip base, a clip wall extending upward from the clip base, and a clip arm that extends from the clip wall over the clip base. The clip base can be disposed in the guide recess, and can define a fastener hole, the fastener hole aligned with the elongated barrel. The handle can be graspable by a user to impair rotation of the clip as the clip is installed relative to a workpiece. Related methods of use are provided.
FASTENER INSTALLATION TOOLS, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS
Installation tools systems and methods for use with an elongated adapter. The elongated adapters have a proximal end and a distal end; and a driver which generates torque mounted to a first end of the elongated adapter; a torque transfer unit engaging the elongated adapter and the driver to transfer torque produced by said driver to a fastener. Fastener installation tools engaging the distal end of the elongated adapter include a first member wherein the first member has a distal end and two projection elements positioned in a plane and a channel between the projection elements further wherein at least one of the first members has a notch at a distal end on a channel-facing side, a positioning member formed integrally with the first member wherein the positioning member has a linear marker on a first side, an angled marker on a second side, and a rocker positioned between the angled marker and the channel.
CENTERING SLEEVE AND METHOD FOR FASTENING
A sleeve (20) for centering fasteners during the assembly of components such as facade elements on the substructure of a building envelope includes a sleeve body (23) and a connection bracket (25). The sleeve body (23) has a plurality of sleeve elements (21, 22) which are grouped around a central center axis A and are spaced apart from each other by gaps running in the sleeve longitudinal direction. At least a first (21) and a second (22) sleeve piece are connected to each other at an axial longitudinal end of the sleeve body (23) by a separable connection bracket (25), preferably the connection bracket is separable via predetermined breaking points. Such a sleeve is used in the construction of facades, wherein it is inserted into a pilot hole of a facade element, the connection bracket is broken off and a fastener is inserted into the sleeve. Driving the fastener centers the fastener in the sleeve and the sleeve is removed from the pilot hole.
Magnetic bit holder with automatic retracting guide sleeve
A magnetic driver bit holder may include, but is not limited to: a drive portion including: a shaft portion including: a recess disposed in an end portion of the shaft portion; and one or more magnets disposed within the shaft portion, and a sleeve portion including: a hollow tube dimensioned such that the shaft portion may be inserted into the hollow tube; and a ring magnet coupled to an end portion of the hollow tube.
Screw guide and related method of use
A fastener guide is provided including a base plate that engages a first board, a guide member that maintains an advancing fastener at a preselected offset angle relative to the first board, and a retainer clip that engages a second board that is transverse to the first board. The retainer clip includes first and second prongs that resiliently hold the guide in place as the fastener is advanced at the offset angle, optionally without manual input so that a user can manipulate the fastener and a driving tool instead of holding the guide to align the fastener. A related method of use is provided.
FASTENER GUIDE AND RELATED METHOD OF USE
A fastener guide defines a downward opening funnel having an upper end that transitions to an elongated barrel in which a drive feature is movably disposed. The funnel can fit over an upright fastener so that a head is guided into and enters the barrel a distance so the drive feature can align and register with the head in the barrel before the drive feature advances the fastener through the funnel. The guide can include a guide sleeve and a biasing element interposed between the sleeve and the barrel to urge the barrel from a retracted mode to an extended mode. The barrel can telescope relative to the sleeve in transitioning from the extended mode to the retracted mode, for example, when the funnel engages a board and the drive feature advances the fastener. The biasing element can compress during this telescoping. Related methods of using the guide are provided.
Screw installation aid for holding and aligning a screw
A screw installation aid holds and aligns a screw in an inclined screw axis relative to the component to be screwed. At least one screw guide receives the screw in the inclined screw axis, and a screwing tool advances through an opening to the screw head coaxially to the screw axis, to install the screw in the component in its inclined position. The screw installation aid encompasses a telescopic cross-member including at least two support segments adjustable coaxially to one another, the undersides of which facing the component form a level and, before adaptation to the component, continuous support surface, each of the undersides bearing one of the clamping blocks. The clamping blocks can be positioned from a closing to an opening position against the resistance of a spring device between both support segments and a screw guide is enclosed in at least one of the support segments.
