A tool and system for loosening or removing a torque resistant threaded fastener assembly. The system can be used with a bench receiver or vehicle mounted receiver and can be used to loosen “frozen” threaded fastener assemblies. The orientation of the components enables a user to place sufficient torque on a “frozen” threaded fastener. In this way the system enables the user to remove or disassemble a corroded combination (e.g.) a corroded or rusted nut and bolt.

Described herein is a multipurpose rotational tool. The multipurpose rotational tool comprises a screwdriver and a wire nut driver. The screwdriver defines a longitudinal axis. The wire nut driver being coaxially and slideably positioned over at least a portion of the screwdriver. In a first configuration, the wire nut driver is unlocked from the screwdriver, and slidingly positioned proximal to a rear end of the screwdriver. In a second configuration, the wire nut driver is slidingly positioned proximal to a front end of the screwdriver, and locked thereon.

Method of manufacturing cable connector hand tools

An illustrative cable connector hand tool and associated method are operable to permit cable connection sections to respectively pass through a side opening of hand tool members into a center aperture of the tool members. In one illustrative embodiment, the hand tool members are formed with a recessed portion adapted to receive an end of one of a pair of cable connectors such that mating edges of the cable connectors used to couple the cable connection sections are visible when the cable connectors are in a coupled configuration abutting each other. An illustrative embodiment includes the recessed portion formed with a plurality of keyway indentions or recesses spaced apart in the center aperture that are operable to engage keys, protrusions, or lugs on an outer wall of the cable connectors.

Immobilizer tool set for bolt installation and method

An immobilizer tool set includes a plurality of retention blocks. Each retention block of the plurality of retention blocks includes a first plate, a guide pin extending from the first plate, and a second plate on the guide pin and configured to slide on the guide pin relative the first plate. A spring is between the first plate and the second plate.

Blind bolt

A blind bolt and tool is used for fastening a bolt through a hole in a structure when only one side of the structure is accessible. A receiver is formed on the tip end of a bolt shaft opposite from a bolt head. Internal threads are formed within the receiver proximate an outward end, and a hex socket is formed in the inward end of the receiver. External threads and a guide are formed on a tip of the tool, and the external threads mate with the internal threads in the receiver to hold the bolt during installation. A hex key on one end of the tool engages the hex socket in the receiver so that the tool may impose a torque on the bolt when a nut is being tightened on the bolt. In another embodiment, a splined tip is formed on the end of the bolt. The tip is designed to shear off when a sufficient torque is applied. Also, a shim is configured to fit between structures held together by the blind bolt.

The first tool-change member includes a first tool-engagement portion, geometrically complementary with a tool-change-engagement portion of a tool of a rotary drive.

The second body is translatable relative to the first body, co-axially with the first body, and is co-axially rotationally fixed relative to the first body. The tool further includes a keeper, fixed within the first body, and a resilient member, captured between the second body and the keeper. The tool also includes a tool retainer, including a second threaded portion, configured to be threadably fastened with the first threaded portion of the first body, and a key, fixed relative to the second threaded portion.
