Installation Tool for a Rotational Coupling Device, Rotational Coupling Device and Installation Tool Kit and Method of Installing a Rotational Coupling Device
A tool for installing a rotational coupling device on a shaft, a rotational coupling device and installation tool kit, and a method of installing a rotational coupling device are provided. The coupling device includes a hub disposed about an axis of the shaft and spaced from the shaft. A bore in the hub is aligned with a bore in the shaft and receives a fastener extending through the hub bore and into the shaft bore. The tool includes a body defining an aperture having a shape complementary to a shape of the hub and defining at least one flat and an arm extending from the body in a direction perpendicular to, and away from, the axis. At least a portion of the arm is axially spaced from the hub allowing the tool to access deeply recessed hubs and prevent rotation of the device and shaft as the fastener is rotated.
APPARATUSES FOR COUPLING THREADED FASTENERS
A rotary-drive sub-assembly includes a tool, a tool retainer, and a retaining member. The tool includes a fastener-engagement portion, a first threaded portion, and a tool-change-engagement portion between the fastener-engagement portion and the first threaded portion. The tool retainer includes a body. The body includes a symmetry axis, a second threaded portion and a key. The second threaded portion is configured to be threadably fastened with the first threaded portion of the tool so that the tool is rotationally anchored relative to the body of the tool retainer about the symmetry axis and is translationally anchored relative to the body of the tool retainer along the symmetry axis. The key is fixed relative to the second threaded portion. The retaining member is removably coupled to the body at a fixed location.
Device for Tightening Screw Connections
A device for tightening a screw connection on a flange connection has a tool carrier movable along the flange connection and provided with a traction drive. A tool on the tool carrier is provided for tightening the screw connection. A control unit is provided to move the tool carrier into a working position by traction drive control signals. The control unit controls, by tool control signals, tightening of the screw connection. On the tool carrier, a holding tool with counter-holding surfaces is arranged. The counter-holding surfaces are provided to bear against the threaded element of the screw connection. The tool carrier has a drive for moving the holding tool between a rest position and a counter-holding position. In the counter-holding position, the counter-holding surfaces bear against the threaded element. The control unit is additionally provided to control the drive of the holding tool by holding tool control signals.
TOOL FOR ATTACHING AND DETACHING ROTARY BODY AND METHOD FOR ATTACHING AND DETACHING ROTARY BODY
An attaching and detaching tool for removing a flywheel connected to a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine using a nut, in which the flywheel is removed by pulling the flywheel with an axial force generated in the nut when the nut is loosened, is provided. A socket wrench is coupled to a nut connected to a crankshaft and a flywheel is coupled to a puller assembled to the socket wrench via a bolt, and then the socket wrench is rotated while the rotation of the puller is stopped by a spinner handle, whereby the nut is loosened and the flywheel is removed.
Toilet seat tightening kit
A toilet seat tightening kit is provided that includes a screwdriver, a wrench, and one or more washers. The components of the toilet seat tightening kit can be joined or fitted together to provide a unitary (i.e., single) component for storage. The components can be easily separated for use. The components of the toilet seat tightening kit are used with one or more pairs of a bolt and a nut that are commonly provided with a toilet seat to securely install the toilet seat on a toilet base. In an assembled form, the washers fit over a shaft of the screwdriver, and the shaft of the screwdriver snaps into an interior cavity of the wrench. The interior cavity is sized and shaped to contain the washers and the screwdriver shaft.
Methods for coupling threaded fasteners
A method of threadably coupling a first fastener with a second fastener using a rotary drive including a tool. The method includes rotationally anchoring the second fastener relative to the tool by co-axially urging a fastener-engagement portion of the tool against the second fastener and rotating the tool relative to the second fastener using a socket of the rotary drive until the fastener-engagement portion of the tool mates with a receiving portion of the second fastener, receiving the first fastener within the socket of the rotary drive co-axially with the fastener-engagement portion of the tool, and rotating the first fastener with the socket of the rotary drive relative to a housing of the rotary drive to cause the first fastener to threadably engage the second fastener.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING CABLE CONNECTOR HAND TOOLS
An illustrative cable connector hand tool and associated method are operable to permit cable connection sections to respectively pass through a side opening of hand tool members into a center aperture of the tool members. In one illustrative embodiment, the hand tool members are formed with a recessed portion adapted to receive an end of one of a pair of cable connectors such that mating edges of the cable connectors used to couple the cable connection sections are visible when the cable connectors are in a coupled configuration abutting each other. An illustrative embodiment includes the recessed portion formed with a plurality of keyway indentions or recesses spaced apart in the center aperture that are operable to engage keys, protrusions, or lugs on an outer wall of the cable connectors.
BOLT TIGHTENING SYSTEM
The present application thus provides a bolt tightening system. The bolt tightening system may include a bolt, a nut, and a bolt tightening tool. The bolt tightening tool may include an adapter and a chamber. One of the adapter and the chamber applies a torque to the bolt and one holds the nut.
High Torque Tool Assembly And System For Loosening A Torque Resistant Threaded Fastener
A tool and system for loosening or removing a torque resistant threaded fastener assembly. The system can be used with a bench receiver or vehicle mounted receiver and can be used to loosen frozen threaded fastener assemblies. The orientation of the components enables a user to place sufficient torque on a frozen threaded fastener. In this way the system enables the user to remove or disassemble a corroded combination (e.g.) a corroded or rusted nut and bolt.
Anti-rotational fastener system
A fastener system includes a fastener including a fastener first end and a longitudinally opposed fastener second end, and an anchor configured to receive and capture the fastener upon rotation of the fastener in a first direction, wherein the anchor is further configured to engage the fastener first end upon complete rotation of the fastener in the first direction, and the anchor is further configured to prohibit further rotation in a second direction, opposite the first direction, upon engagement with the fastener first end.
