O-ring installation tool and method of installing an O-ring in an inner diameter
Tool for installing O-rings in an inner diameter of a structure includes a plurality of held in a spaced, fixed parallel relationship to one another. A plurality of guide surfaces are secured with and disposed between the plates. A selectively-actuable finger actuator is disposed to move a plurality of fingers generally radially between the plurality of plates. Each of the plates includes a slot, and a loading pin is configured to be received within the slots. When at least one O-ring is disposed about a plurality of guide surfaces proximal the periphery of the plates, and the loading pin is moved within the slots, the loading pin pulls a loop of the O-rings toward the plate axis. When the loading pin is removed, the finger actuator may be actuated to move the fingers in the generally radial direction to move the at least one O-ring radially outward from the plates.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MOUNTING O-RING AND ROBOT
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide an apparatus and method for mounting an O-ring to a work piece. The apparatus comprises a guiding component comprising a frustum portion arranged coaxially with a groove formed on an end surface of the work piece for receiving the O-ring, a large end face of the frustum portion arranged adjacent to the end surface; and an operation component adapted to drive the guiding component to rotate back and forth about a central axis of the guiding component, wherein a diameter of the large end face is substantially same as an inner diameter of the O-ring to allow the O-ring surrounding and eccentric to the frustum portion to slide into the groove with a rotation of the guiding component.
INSERTION TOOL
An insertion tool may be utilized for placement of a seal into a groove of a component. The insertion tool may comprise a base and a seal lifting portion. The seal lifting portion may comprise a surface configured to selectably engage with a seal to move the seal between a lifted position and an unlifted position within an associated groove of a component. The surface of the seal lifting portion may be configured to continuously move the seal between the lifted position and unlifted position. The seal may have a first height h.sub.1 and a second height h.sub.2, wherein h.sub.2 may be less than h.sub.1. The seal may be stretched to h.sub.2 in the lifted position and returned to h.sub.1 in the unlifted positioned in the associated groove of the component.
INSTALLATION TOOL
An installation tool for installing a seal includes a shaft and a seal-engaging component coupled with the shaft. During an installation of the seal, the seal-engaging component is adapted to couple with the seal. The seal-engaging component includes a first surface and a second surface. The seal-engaging component also includes a first annular ring extending from the first surface and adapted to engage with the seal for coupling the seal with the seal-engaging component. The seal-engaging component further includes a second annular ring extending from the first surface. The installation tool also includes a sliding hammer adapted to slide along a length of the shaft. During the installation of the seal, the sliding hammer is adapted to apply a force to the seal-engaging component for installing the seal at a seal installation location.
HEAVY-DUTY VEHICLE MAINTENANCE TOOL AND A METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SUCH A TOOL
A heavy-duty vehicle maintenance tool applicable to mount or remove a component from a gearbox has a cylindrical shape with a predetermined extension along a central axis. The tool further including a cylindrical wall enclosing an inner cylindrical cavity and connecting an open first end and a closed second end. The tool has a first end arranged to be placed in contact with a corresponding surface on a component to be mounted and a second end arranged to be subjected to an external force in order to mount or remove the component. The second end includes an internal reinforcing lattice structure within the cavity. The tool is a lightweight, one-piece thermoplastic component and is produced using an additive manufacturing process.
Method and apparatus for installing end seals
An end seal placement tool for placing an end seal in a host pipe within a manhole includes a pole with opposite proximal and distal ends. An end seal holder is disposed at the distal end of the pole. The end seal holder includes an end seal chamber configured to hold the end seal. The end seal holder is sized and shaped to be at least partially inserted into the host pipe. A launcher is arranged with respect to the end seal holder for ejecting the end seal from the end seal holder into the host pipe.

A plug for isolating a wellbore. The plug can include a body having a first end and a second end, wherein the body is formed from one or more composite materials and adapted to receive a setting tool through the first end thereof, at least one malleable element disposed about the body, at least one slip disposed about the body, at least one conical member disposed about the body, and one or more shearable threads disposed on an inner surface of the body, adjacent the second end thereof, wherein the one or more shearable threads are adapted to receive at least a portion of a setting tool that enters the body through the first end thereof, and wherein the one or more shearable threads are adapted to engage the setting tool when disposed through the body and adapted to release the setting tool when exposed to a predetermined axial force.

A cylindrical shaft seal packaging sleeve that is inserted in a shaft seal an inner peripheral surface of which slidably contacts with a rotation shaft includes an insertion end portion that is inserted in the shaft seal and a mounting end portion having a larger outer diameter than that of the insertion end portion, a chamfered portion is formed in each of the insertion end portion and the mounting end portion and a step portion having a larger outer diameter than that of the chamfered portion is provided in an axial deeper side than the chamfered portion, and a minimum diameter of the step portion in the insertion end portion is smaller than a minimum diameter of the shaft seal.
Gasket installer wrench and method
A gasket installer wrench provides a grasping collet, which extends out of the remover end and clips onto the small ball end of a valve core. The gasket installer guide or wrench is especially suitable for use with a refrigerant valve or tire valve, or to install a valve depressor.
Method for mounting an annular sealing element
A method for assembling an annular seal element, formed by a sealing cord which runs around an opening on a seal receptacle which runs around on the outside of a component. The method includes introducing two assembly fingers into the opening of the annular seal element, stretching the annular seal element by moving the assembly fingers apart from one another, with the formation of a cord portion of the sealing cord, the cord portion being freely tensioned between the assembly fingers, placing the freely tensioned cord portion onto the seal receptacle in a contact region, applying the annular seal element, by way of its opening, onto the seal receptacle, and removing the assembly fingers from the annular seal element. The assembly fingers are moved so as to follow the profile of the seal receptacle, to travel around the seal receptacle in opposite directions.
