Cup plug insertion tool

A cup plug insertion tool comprises a cylindrical base and a cylindrical collet extending from the base and including at least two longitudinal slots that divide the collet into at least two flexible segments adapted to flex radially inward under force, an annular groove formed adjacent the base, the annular groove adapted to allow the flexible segments to flex radially inward, further wherein, the force necessary to flex the flexible segments radially inward is tunable based on a width and depth of the annular groove, a first section defining a circumferential outer diameter and a circumferential inner diameter, a second section defining a circumferential outer diameter that is larger than the circumferential outer diameter of the first section, a tip positioned at the distal end of the collet, and a chamfer formed between the outer diameter of the first section and the tip.

Panel fastener tool for quickly, safely, and easily removing and inserting panel fasteners

A panel fastener tool is disclosed that includes a first arm pivotally connected to a second arm. Each of the first arm and second arm include a camming portion, a camming surface, a terminal projection projecting substantially inwardly, and an indent between the camming portion and the terminal projection. Upon pivoting the first arm and the second arm towards each other, the camming surfaces each engage a top portion of an inner member of a fastener inserted into a hole in a workpiece. The camming surfaces lift the inner member out of an insertable member of the fastener, and the terminal projections capture a head portion of the insertable member within the indents. When an upward force is applied, the terminal projections lift the insertable member from the hole.

JOINT PRESS ADAPTER

A slip-on adapter that is adapted to be coupled to existing adapters that have already been developed. The slip-on adapter couples to existing adapters by positive retention on either the outside diameter or inside diameter of the existing adapter. For example, the slip-on adapter can include an O-ring that grips the outside diameter of the existing adapter that it is slipped onto. The slip-on adapter can also be used as a “flip adapter” with different geometries at both ends for use with two different size ball joints. This allows for less expensive adapters for new size ball joints by connecting to existing adapters, rather than requiring full machining of a new adapter.
