The present disclosure relates to a modular fastener gun comprising at least a gun body that can accept any number of fastener cartridges using a same connection assembly mechanism. In one example, a fastener cartridge comprises a fastener box used to hold fasteners, the fastener box including a first alignment structure and a second alignment structure, the first alignment structure used to detachably connect the fastener cartridge to a fastener gun body, and the second alignment structure used to lock the fastener cartridge to the gun body. In this way, a plurality of fastener cartridges that each can house different fastener types, can readily be used with a same fastener gun.

Driving machine

The disclosure discloses a driving machine includes a trigger, a first switch turned on or off by an operation of the trigger, a push lever that moves in response to an operation of pressing an ejection port of a fastener against a driven material, and a second switch turned on or off by movement of the push lever. The driving machine drives the fastener when the first switch and the second switch are both in the ON state. The trigger includes a switching mechanism to switch between a single-shot driving mode and a continuous-shot driving mode.

POWERED FASTENER DRIVER

A powered fastener driver includes a housing, a nosepiece extending from the housing, a driver blade movable within the nosepiece between a ready position and a driven position the driver blade comprising a plurality of drive teeth on a first side of the driver blade and a plurality of locking projections on a second side of the driver blade, a piston coupled to the driver blade for movement therewith, a driver cylinder within which the piston is movable, a storage chamber cylinder containing pressurized gas therein and in fluid communication with the driver cylinder, a first end of the driver cylinder being affixed to a corresponding first end of the storage chamber cylinder, and a latch actuator assembly adjacent the driver blade, wherein the latch actuator assembly includes a latch to engage one of the plurality of locking projections to prevent the driver blade from moving toward the driven position.

Fastener driving tool with driver position sensors

A gas spring fastener driving tool, having a cylinder filled with compressed gas that forces a piston/driver through a driving stroke movement; a rotary-to-linear lifter, then moves the piston/driver back to its ready position, preparing the tool for another driving stroke. The driver has protrusions (teeth) along its edges to contact extending pins of the lifter member, for lifting the driver during a return stroke. The driver's movements are detected by position sensors, and the information provided by those position sensors is used to prevent the lifter from impacting against the driver in situations where the driver did not finish its driving stroke in a correct (“in specification”) position. The use of two position sensors allows a Dry Fire diagnostic test to determine if gas pressure in the gas storage chamber is too high, or has become too low.

This driving tool includes: a pressure accumulator (26) in which a compressible gas is accumulated; a striking part which operates in a first direction to strike a fastener with a pressure of the compressible gas; and a driving part which causes the striking part to operate in a second direction opposite to the first direction and to increase the pressure of the pressure accumulator (26). The driving tool further includes: a cylinder chamber (98) in which the compressible gas to be supplied to the pressure accumulator (26) can be contained; a holder (44) forming the pressure accumulator (26) and the cylinder chamber (98); a piston (97) which is disposed in the holder (44) and is operable to reduce the volume of the cylinder chamber (98); and a switching valve (92) capable of connecting and disconnecting the cylinder chamber (98) and the pressure accumulator (26).

A nailing machine includes a tool body, a flywheel (40), a driver (3), a pressing mechanism and a return mechanism. The pressing mechanism includes a spring mechanism and a pressing roller (87). The pressing roller (87) is supported to be rotatable around a rotation axis (A2) and movable in a left-right direction, and configured to press the driver (3) toward the flywheel (40) by a biasing force of the spring mechanism in a nail-driving process in which the driver (3) moves from an initial position to a nail-driving position, to thereby enable transmission of the rotational energy to the driver (3). The pressing mechanism is configured such that the position of the pressing roller (87) relative to the driver (3) changes in the left-right direction between the nail-driving process and a return process, thereby making it impossible for the pressing roller (87) to press the driver (3) in the return process.

METHOD OF CONTROLLING FIRING MODE FOR ELECTRIC NAIL GUN

A method of controlling firing mode for an electric nail gun is provided. The electric nail gun includes a control module that, when operating in a program selecting state in an intelligent firing mode, executes a single firing program or a continuous firing program based on which of a safety switch and a trigger switch of the electric nail gun is being activated . When executing the continuous firing program, the control module forbids execution of a nail firing action when determining that the electric nail gun has not been fired for longer than a predetermined time period.
