A driving tool capable of avoiding blank shot after a predetermined time has elapsed when performing a bump firing and capable of smoothly performing the bump firing is provided. The driving tool includes: an accumulator chamber which accumulates compressed air; a nose section provided on a housing; a cylinder; a trigger; and a push lever provided in the nose section, and when the trigger and the push lever are operated, the compressed air is supplied into the cylinder. The driving tool further includes: a delay valve which prevents the compressed air from being supplied into the cylinder when the push lever is not operated within a predetermined time after the trigger is operated: and a switching valve which supplies the compressed air of the accumulator chamber to the delay valve when the trigger is operated, and discharges the compressed air supplied to the delay valve to an outside of the housing when the push lever is operated within the predetermined time.

Forced air cooling from piston movements of nailer tool

A fastener driving tool that forces air from its variable venting volume beneath the piston of the working cylinder and directs that forced air through passageways and toward an electronic controller and/or an electric motor before being vented to atmosphere, thereby drawing heat away from those components during an operational cycle of the movable piston. When the piston returns to its initial position, environmental air is drawn through the same passageways, again past the electronic controller and/or electric motor, thereby twice cooling these “hot” components during a single operational cycle.

Fastening tool

A fastening tool is provided, wherein a relief valve piston (65) is arranged that blocks an air passage from an air plug (58) to an accumulator chamber (50) and that opens/closes a flow path of a discharge port of compressed air from the accumulator chamber (50) to the atmosphere. When a state in which a trigger lever (21) is pulled while a push lever is released continues for a prescribed time or longer, a portion of the compressed air in the accumulator chamber (50) is released to the outside from the discharge port to notify the operator that the trigger lever (21) has not returned. If the trigger lever (21) is not returned even after the notification, the compressed air in the accumulator chamber (50) is discharged to the atmosphere at once and an air passage from an air plug (58) to the accumulator chamber (50) is blocked.

DRY-FIRE LOCKOUT AND LAST FASTENER RETENTION MECHANISM FOR POWERED FASTENER DRIVER
20210362311 · 2021-11-25 ·

A powered fastener driver includes a housing, a nosepiece having a fastener driver channel from which fasteners are discharged into a workpiece, a driver blade, a workpiece contact element, a canister magazine, and a pusher mechanism coupled to the nosepiece. The powered fastener driver also includes a dry-fire lockout mechanism having a lockout lever movable between a bypass position and a blocking position and a last fastener holding member configured to engage a first side of a fastener within the fastener driver channel. The lockout lever is configured to engage an opposite, second side of the fastener within the fastener driver channel. The last fastener holding member biases the fastener within the fastener driver channel toward an inner surface of the fastener driver channel to inhibit the fastener from falling out of the fastener driver channel.

Driving tool for driving fastening means into a workpiece

A driving tool for driving fasteners into a workpiece and operable in a single shot mode and in a bump fire mode, wherein the driving tool includes a resetting assembly including a control volume, wherein the resetting assembly is activatable in the bump fire mode by movement of a piston during each fastener driving-in cycle so that a fluid path from a cylinder to the control volume facilitates an increase in pressure to the control volume, and wherein responsive to a pressure in the control volume falling below a limit value due to venting of air from the control volume, the resetting assembly is operable to prevent actuation of a workpiece contact element from causing a valve piston to move to an actuation position until a trigger lever is released.

STRIKING TOOL

Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide powered fastener driving tools and clean lubricants for powered fastener driving tools that reduce contaminant, residue, and deposit buildup or accumulation in the powered fastener driving tools, and thus reduce necessary maintenance for such powered fastener driving tools (or increases the time intervals between such necessary maintenance of powered fastener driving tools).

Multi-Stroke Powered Safety Hammer System

A multi-stroke powered safety hammer including a cylinder having an end, the cylinder mounted to and extending outwardly from a body to the end, and an impact piston disposed within the cylinder for axial reciprocating movement, the impact piston having a striking surface at a front end thereof. The hammer further includes a mount connected releasably over the end of the cylinder and is configured to receive and releasably secure a base of a tool for reciprocating movement, the base including an end having an impact surface. The end of the cylinder is configured to receive the end of the base for reciprocating movement in confronting relation of the impact surface to the striking surface when the base is received and releasably secured by the mount for reciprocating movement.

POWER DRIVING TOOL WITH LATCH POSITION SENSOR

A powered fastener driving tool including a latch with a position sensor, to detect the position of the driver during tool operation. The sensor communicates to the system controller, which determines, based on the position of the latch, if the motor should be energized or the motor braking energized. This latch sensor detection provides an accurate location of the driver to the system controller, helping prevent wear and tear on the lifter and driver, and increasing the life of the tool. The driver includes a plurality of through holes, in which the latch can engage when properly aligned. When the latch is engaged with a through hole, the sensor communicates to the controller than the motor may be energized. However, when the latch is not engaged with a through hole, the sensor communicates to the controller that the motor brake should be energized.

Compressed air nailer with automatic operating mode and a placing sensor
11167402 · 2021-11-09 · ·

A compressed air nailer comprises a working piston connected to a driving tappet and configured to drive in a fastener and a triggering apparatus. The triggering apparatus comprises a manually actuable trigger, a placing sensor, and a force transmission element configured to interact with the manually actuable trigger and the placing sensor to actuate a control valve and trigger the driving process when the manually actuable trigger and the placing sensor are actuated together. The compressed air nailer is configured to continuously drive in fasteners in an automatic operating mode when the manually actuable trigger and the placing sensor are permanently actuated, and wherein displacing the placing sensor from the second position into the first position does not actuate the control valve when the manually actuable trigger is in an actuated position when the placing sensor is displaced.
