FASTENER MAGAZINE RELEASE SYSTEM
20180207779 · 2018-07-26 · ·

A track release system for a fastening tool such as a staple gun that may be exposed and operated substantially from under the tool. A track pull and selectively linked operative features are preferably fitted near a rear of a track. A user normally turns the tool upside down to access the track pull features for reloading fasteners. The track pull and associated elements are not exposed on a side of the tool body but rather on the rear and bottom. While the track release structure is below the track, the enabling structure remains vertically compact whereby the size of the tool need not be extended downward to accommodate the operative elements.

Nail guiding device for nailer

A nail guiding device of a nailer includes a guiding portion for guiding the nails along a straight path. The nailer has a reception recess with which a guiding member is pivotably connected. A guiding plate includes two grooves defined along two sides thereof. The strike plate and nails are slidably moved along the guiding plate between the two grooves. The guiding plate has first and second slots. The guiding member has a pivot pivotably inserted in the reception recess, a first guiding portion, a first rail, a second rail parallel to the first rail and a second guiding portion. The guiding member has a resilient arm connected thereto which contacts an inside of the body of the nailer. The first and second rails swing through the first and second slots so as to guide the nails to be ejected along a straight path.

FASTENING TOOL WIRE GUIDE
20180193992 · 2018-07-12 · ·

An extendible wire guide is slidably fitted at the front of a staple gun tool housing. An easily operated lever switch is linked to the wire guide to enable the wire guide to be deployed or retracted. The lever switch includes an up and a down position corresponding to a retracted and an extended position of the wire guide. The wire guide is resiliently biased, preferably toward the retracted position. The lever switch acts on the wire guide against the bias through a cam action on an upper edge of the wire guide. A bias spring is preloaded in a subassembly of the wire guide and bias spring for simplified final assembly.

Conveyor Belt Fastener and Method of Manufacture
20180080526 · 2018-03-22 ·

In one aspect, a conveyor belt fastener is provided having a rigid body made from a strip of cold-rolled or cold-drawn material such as steel. The body has an upper plate portion, a lower plate portion, and loop portions connecting the upper and lower plate portions. The upper and lower plate portions each have a variable cross-sectional thickness laterally thereacross including raised walls projecting outwardly and ribs projecting inwardly. The fastener has at least one attachment member, such as a staple, for connecting the plate portions to a conveyor belt end and the raised walls protect the staple once driven into the conveyor belt end.
