A hammer tacker is provided, including a grip portion and a body portion; a magazine, including a rail, at least partially received in the housing, being movable relative to the hosing between a stapling position and a staple-installing position, including an outlet disposed at a front end of the body portion; a biasing mechanism, including a push member movably mounted to the rail and a constant force spring which is rollable, the constant force spring being positionally attached to the rail through a connection portion and located at a front end of the magazine, and the constant force spring being attached to an inner face of the push member, the push member being movable to be correspondingly above or beyond the connection portion; a striking mechanism, mounted to the main body and configured to strike at least one staple installed in the magazine.

Power Tool Having Latched Pusher Assembly

A magazine for use with a fastening tool. The magazine can have a pusher assembly that can be retracted into a recess in the magazine to facilitate loading and reloading of fasteners. The pusher assembly can have a pusher assembly knob which can be reversibly latched to a detent to maintain the pusher assembly in a retracted state. The fastening tool can use a magazine which can be reloaded by a method which has a step of reversibly retracting the pusher assembly into the retracted state to allow for feeding one or more fasteners to the magazine.

Stapler

A stapler includes a main body, a magazine, a striker, and a driving portion. The main body encloses a receiving space and has an opening at the bottom of the front end thereof. The opening communicates with the receiving space. The magazine is arranged in the main body for receiving staples. The striker is arranged at the front end of the main body and is linearly slidable above the opening vertically. The driving portion is disposed on the main body and is connected to the striker to drive it to move downward to strike the staple out. The striker has a bottom face oriented frontward and downward so that an angle ranged from 3-15 degrees is defined between the bottom face and the horizontal plane.

Impact device

An impact device includes a drive assembly, a cam having a ramp and a fall-off, and a follower associated with the cam. During rotation of the cam, one of the cam or the follower axially displaces as the follower traverses the cam and falls off the fall-off to transform the rotary motion of the drive assembly to a reciprocating motion having a saw-tooth shape that includes a gradual retraction and a quick extension. The quick extension creates an impact loading, which can be used, for example, for driving a fastener into a work piece.

ADHESIVE FILM LAMINATE

A surgical stapler, or fastening instrument, may generally comprise a layer, such as a tissue thickness compensator, for example, releasably attached to a fastener cartridge and/or anvil by a flowable attachment portion. The flowable attachment portion may be indefinitely flowable. The flowable attachment portion may be flowable from the time that layer is installed to the fastener cartridge to the time in which the layer is implanted to patient tissue. The flowable attachment portion may comprise a pressure sensitive adhesive. The flowable attachment portion may comprise an adhesive laminate comprising a base layer comprising the tissue thickness compensator and an adhesive layer on at least a portion of a surface of the base layer comprising the pressure sensitive adhesive. Articles of manufacture comprising flowable attachment portion and methods of making and using the flowable attachment portion are also described.
